After hours of fixing some issues with the database, I am finally proud to announce the start of my new FM21 save with Rudar Breza. We are playing in a world where Yugoslavia has reformed into a single country. Unlike last year's edition of the Yugoslavia database, the league structure is very different with different things occurring across the nation. In this iteration of Yugoslavia, there are 7 tiers of football and every club below the 3rd tier are divided up into their respective socialist republics. Also new to the database is the Republic Cups, a series of knockout tournaments that occur in each of the socialist republics. But enough about the save, we have time to further discuss the Yugoslav football pyramid in FM21.

Here is Rudar Breza's info page.
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/club-info-jpg.523703/

Thanks to @Heppy91, we have 2D kits for this club. We start out in the 6th tier in the Bosnia-Herzegovina section of the football pyramid, which is the lowest we can go as the 7th tier only has sections for Croatia and Serbia. Anyway as you can see on the right side of the info page, we will be building this club's history right from scratch. We also hold a rivalry against Bosna Visoko, who are our very close neighbors.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/manager-info-jpg.523704/

This is my manager Jasmin Hodzic, who was born and raised in Germany, but returned to his parent's hometown to lead Rudar Breza to new heights. Every journey must start with a single step, so before we get into July's fixtures, let's look at the rules of our division.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/s1-rules1-jpg.523705/
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/s1-rules-2-jpg.523706/

We have 38 games to play this season and we are forbidden to sign anyone from outside the EU. Only the one promotion spot is available to each of the 4 groups at this level, so if we want to get out of this league, we must win the league title. Due to the shortage of free agents available, this might not be as easy as it seems compared to last year, as that edition of Yugoslavia had a lot of free agents to choose from. Speaking of transfers, I will cover them in the next post (which covers August fixtures). Anyway, let's look at the results from July.

League Matchday 1
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m1-jpg.523707/

We opened the campaign with a close 2-1 victory against Ozren Petrovo. We were very good during the first half, but a sending off in the second almost caused us to blow our two goal advantage as they scored with less than 15 minutes left to go. Thankfully, we held on for an opening day victory for myself and the club.

Kup Marshall Tito 1st Round
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/kup-tito-1st-rnd-jpg.523708/

We were drawn against Dinamo Odranski Obrež, who play in the same tier as us, but in Croatia. We squeaked by with another 2-1 victory, with two goals in 10 minutes in the first half, but conceding in the second. I hope we do better as time goes on.

League Matchday 2
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m2-jpg.523709/

Another away trip, this time to Lijevče Nova Topola, sees us earn our first clean sheet of the save with a big 4-0 victory, with a hattrick from our new signing Brendonis Bala. Thoroughly enjoyed this victory as we were excellent all game.

League Table going into August
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/table-aug20-jpg.523710/

Nothing to say here really until August has passed, but I am cautiously optimistic about the how the next couple of months will go.

That's it for the Rudar Breza save. I will return very soon with August fixtures and the summer transfer business.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. August has passed, so before we go into the fixtures for the month, let's take a look at our transfer business.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ASslnuBY2DvW9SQB9KLPU76jKYIJBz8KpTjyMc7r.jpg
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/KkfMZe27RuOTqrP3pj6QopsVhomnC4RwHjyeKAv0.jpg

There were no outgoing players this time, but we brought in a lot to boost squad depth and build a foundation of younger players for the future. Winter might be quieter but that remains to be seen. Now, the fixtures.

League Matchday 3
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/GBIjuRyBjLhKCpfZYwojPhIuE78Vsd0ywKjRBHwp.jpg

We won our first home game of the season with a good 2-0 victory against Krajina Banja Luka. We left it late though, but the win and clean sheet was all that mattered.

League Matchday 4
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uOiUWrtx6buGytck0mE77olILSd1RTOPSftH57OH.jpg

We continue our good run of form with a close 2-1 victory over Branitelj. We led at half time, but were a bit sloppy during the second half when they pulled one back. We held on though for the 3 points.

League Matchday 5
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/UaF9NuGfT8cC6Xg4rEdjfWUBVwakYDEpxkwYfTZA.jpg

This match against Kupres was one of the diciest games of the season. Despite scoring with 30 seconds of kickoff, we fell behind after a half our of play and were trailing 2-1 at the break. But, two late goals in the second half allowed us to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory, pushing our winning streak to 6 matches.

Kup Marshall Tito 2nd Round
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZwuUBS7wv8kXDR5QtkJAt9eDV8hhyBk7z0qCwdZC.jpg

We faced our next door neighbors Bosna Visoko in this cup clash away from home. Unfortunately, we could not overcome the 5th tier side and lost 2-0. Even though this game was against our local rivals, I'm not too mad. Success in the Cup was never in the cards and we can finally focus on more important fixtures until the Bosnian Cup starts.

League Matchday 6
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/vLrYUbFLZRONUpj7eV5YwkwnShBGJ96Qpojc5hqI.jpg

We welcomed Ozren Semizovac back in the league and boy we got away with a draw. We were 2-0 down at half time, but we managed to battle our way to a 3-3 draw to keep us unbeaten in the league.

League Matchday 7
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/RkpgV8wWTEoS0xqzASjV5sXRFaNju4M6QxSDpayq.jpg

The trend of exciting games doesn't stop here with a thrilling 5-4 victory against Kiseljak. Our right winger Adin Redzic carries us to victory by scoring a hattrick against the home side in a match which saw both sides constantly trading blows in the form of goals. Oh boy we are in for a wild ride for the rest of the season.

League Table going into September
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/eFeKKzpUksYdWz5pKNFdimkEqBcxa3gWelSU9ohk.jpg

Now with seven matchdays completed, our league group is starting to take shape now that we can look at everyone's form. We are currently in 2nd place behind Jedinstvo Žeravica on goal difference. Hopefully we can put in some important results so our questionable defensive record doesn't drag us down.

That's it for August with Rudar Breza. I will return very soon with September fixtures.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. September fixtures are done, so let's take a look.

League Matchday 8
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m8-jpg.523894/

We began the month with a good 3-1 victory over Dinamo Donja Mahala. We did fall behind, but we immediately responded and things just got out of hand for the away side.

League Matchday 9
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m9-jpg.523895/

We put out a storming performance with a 5-1 victory against bottom-placed Vitez Buzim.

League Matchday 10
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m10-jpg.523896/

We destroyed Butmir Sarajevo 6-1 at home, with two players netting a hattrick each.

League Matchday 11
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m11-jpg.523897/

We complete the month's fixtures with another big victory, this time away to Proleter Dvorovi.

League Table going into October
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/table-sep20-jpg.523898/

We finally return to top spot after Jedinstvo Žeravica drew 1-1 with Ozren Petrovo on Matchday 10. We are two points clear of them as a result and 5 clear of 3rd placed Branitelj.

That's it for September. I will return with October fixtures, which include the start of the Bosnian Republic Cup and a huge top of the table clash against Žeravica.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. We have a lot of matches to cover in October, so let's get into it.

League Matchday 12
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m12-jpg.523922/

We narrowly defeated Medjugorje 2-1 in a tight contest that could've gone either way.

Kup Republike Bosne i Hercegovine 1st Round
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/krbih-1st-rnd-jpg.523925/

We begin our run in the Bosnia Cup with a 3-1 victory against Priluk, who play in the same tier as we do, but in a different group.

League Matchday 13
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m13-jpg.523929/

This was the most stressful match I had the displeasure to watch through. We traveled away to Jedinstvo Žeravica in a huge 1st-vs-2nd clash where neither of us could afford a loss. We scraped a victory through, but Jedinstvo Žeravica were constantly putting a lot of pressure on our defense. I think I aged 10 years watching this match.

League Matchday 14
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m14-jpg.523940/

Thankfully, this game was much more comfortable and relaxing with a stupendous 2nd half performance as we ran out 4-0 winners against Vrbanjusa Sarajevo.

Kup Republike Bosne i Hercegovine 2nd Round
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/krbih-2nd-rnd-jpg.523941/

We hosted Sloga Doboj in the next round of the Bosnia Cup, where we would unfortunately get knocked out on penalties after drawing 2-2. I'm pretty gutted at this result because we were 2-0 down at one point and we fought back to draw level, but our efforts were for nothing as the lottery of penalties went against us.

League Matchday 15
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m15-jpg.523942/

Back in the league, we continued our winning streak with an 8 goal thriller against Jedinstvo Brodac. Even though we were ahead for nearly the entire game, it was still fun to watch both sides play well.

League Matchday 16
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m16-jpg.523943/

The final game of the month was a Halloween clash against Železničar Bosanska Krupa. It was a good 3-1 victory against the side struggling at the bottom of our league group.

League Table going into November
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/table-oct20-jpg.523944/

I am delighted to see that we are now seven points clear of 2nd place, still unbeaten as we approach the halfway point of the season.

That's it for October, I will return with November fixtures very soon.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. November has passed, so let's look at the results.

League Matchday 17
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m17-jpg.524112/

Our defensive problems continue with a 3-2 victory against Vlasic Turbe, where we fell behind, but came back to win. If we get promoted, I hope to find some quality defenders to stop the leaks.

League Matchday 18
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m18-jpg.524113/

We welcome Krajisnik Velika Kladusa, who managed to hold us back until we scored in the final 15 minutes. It was a pretty quiet game and we did finally keep a clean sheet for the first time since our win against Vrbanjusa.

League Matchday 19
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m19-jpg.524114/

We reach the halfway point of the season with our reverse fixture against Ozren Petrovo. It was a good 2-0 win, our second clean sheet in a row. Nice.

League Matchday 20
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m20-jpg.524115/

We finally played all of the teams in our group as we traveled away to Mladost Kotor Varos. To my disappointment, we could not score at all as we slipped to a 0-0 draw. At least we got the clean sheet.

League Table going into December
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/table-nov20-jpg.524116/

We are still top with five points separating us and Jedinstvo Žeravica, but with Žeravica virtually unstoppable at the moment, we cannot afford to slip up again, or else we could get stuck in this division. With the winter break fast approaching, the upcoming transfer window could be decisive on the outcome of the title race.

That's it for November. I will return with December and January fixtures as well as the winter transfer window very soon.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. There's been a lot of things happening off the pitch as well as on during these two months. We only played three matches in this period, but our transfer business and youth intake preview should provide some interest. Let's take a look.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/intake-preview-2020-jpg.524264/

For our club, our youth intake occurs every April. From what my Head of Youth Development has provided, we should look forward to this intake, as we got some promise coming in for the full back and goalkeeper positions.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/winter21-in1-jpg.524265/
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/winter21-in2-jpg.524266/

We once again brought in a lot of players for some quality for the first team as well as some prospects for the future. Once again, we have no players leaving the club this transfer window. Now for the fixtures.

League Matchday 21
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m21-jpg.524267/

We start off with our reverse fixture against Lijevče, which ended in a comfortable 3-0 victory in our favor, bringing our clean sheet streak to four.

League Matchday 22
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m22-jpg.524268/

Josip Bozic and curiously enough center back Ive Vidovic helped us destroy Krajina 5-1 in our final game of the year. We enter the winter break with not a lot to worry about.

League Matchday 23
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m23-jpg.524269/

In our first game of the year, we come back from winter break with a very tough match against in-form Branitelj, who are also challenging the league title. We record a very important 2-1 victory to keep ourselves at a distance from Žeravica. I am so proud of my boys for winning this match.

League Table going into February
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/table-jan21-jpg.524270/

We are still unbeaten, five points clear of our unstoppable title rivals Žeravica. Branitelj look to be falling away as the gap between them and Žeravica grows larger with each victory Žeravica picks up. With that said, looking at the upcoming fixtures for all three of us, April is going to be a make or break month for all of us, as Jedinstvo Žeravica face both us and Branitelj at the start of April. They need to win both games to stand any chance of winning the league, and subsequently promotion.

That's it for the Rudar Breza save. I will return soon with February fixtures.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. February has passed, so let's look at the results.

League Matchday 24
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m24-jpg.524363/

We record a comfortable 4-1 victory against Kurpes as Bala and new signing Fazliu both score a brace.

League Matchday 25
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m25-jpg.524364/

Josip Bozic puts in a great performance in our away match against Ozren Semizovac as we win 2-0.

League Matchday 26
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m26-jpg.524365/

We continued our unbeaten run with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Kiseljak.

League Matchday 27
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m27-jpg.524366/

We're starting to look a little shaky as we scraped a 3-2 victory away to Dinamo Donja Mahala. We were leading 2-0 at one point, but Dinamo fought back valiantly to draw level in the second half. Thankfully, a late penalty helped us avoid a crucial slip up as we remain five points clear of 2nd place.

League Table going into March
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/table-feb21-jpg.524367/

We are getting into the business end of the season going into March with 11 games left to go. Branitelj are no longer a title rival after a further slip up leaves them nine points behind Jedinstvo Žeravica, who have not lost or drawn since they were knocked out of the Bosnia Cup 2nd Round against Rudanka. It is a two horse race at this point and every single result from now on for both side must be treated as a must win. I cannot see Žeravica losing or drawing against any of their next four opponents they play in the month of March. Come April, they will have to face us and Branitelj, which will define where the season will go once May arrives.

That's it for February. I will return with March fixtures very soon. Feel free to comment on any additional details, I am happy to explain.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. March is done, so lets look at the results.

League Matchday 28
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m28-jpg.524404/

Today turned out to be an absolute dream for our side. While we comfortably dispatched of bottom placed Vitez Buzin 4-1, Jedinstvo Žeravica saw their winning streak come to an abrupt end when they lost 2-0 to Krajisnik. This result allowed us to extend our lead at the top of the table to 8 points, to my abject delight.

League Matchday 29
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m29-jpg.524405/

Bala put in an excellent performance with a four goal hattrick against Butmir as we won an 8 goal thriller 5-3.

League Matchday 30
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m30-jpg.524406/

We had a quiet game against Proleter Dvorovi, but still won 2-0.

League Matchday 31
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m31-jpg.524407/

Bala breaks the league's goalscoring in a single match record by scoring a five goal hattrick against Medjugorje as we won 6-1. It was a good thing we won as convincingly as we did, as we are facing Jedinstvo Žeravica next and this result will be a statement to them as well as a morale booster for us.

League Table going into April
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/table-mar21-jpg.524408/

Let's go! Eight points clear of Jedinstvo Žeravica with seven games left. Relieved to see we can afford some breathing room at this point. Žeravica are a very tough opponent and I am pretty sure we're going to lose against them. The bigger question is can they beat Branitelj, who are still quite good despite being too far away to catch up to us.

That's it for March. I will return with April fixtures as well as our first youth intake.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. April has come and big things have happened to club during this month. We got our first youth intake of the save, so let's take a look.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/intake-descrip-jpg.524809/
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/intake-2021-jpg.524810/

Normally I wouldn't include the intake description as most of my intakes were pretty average, but look at this! We have a very good crop of players coming in, and while our facilities could be better, this is still very nice to see. However, I am a little worried that none of these players would make it in the long run as I still plan to drag this club to the First League as quick as I can. Now, let's look at the results.

League Matchday 32
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m32-jpg.524815/

I cannot believe it. We somehow snatched a very close 1-0 victory against Jedinstvo Žeravica where we had our backs pressed against a wall against an onslaught. Their star striker was already rated to be near Second League level and a lethal goalscorer, so stopping him was a great achievement. This victory probably ends any doubts I had for winning the league title as it's nearly a forgone conclusion at this point.

League Matchday 33
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m33-jpg.524819/

We record a routine victory against Vrbanjusa as we now look to end the season without a league defeat. Jedinstvo Žeravica managed to draw 0-0 with Branitelj again, further putting us out of reach of 2nd place.

League Matchday 34
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m34-jpg.524821/

With four games left to go, we officially sealed the title and subsequently promotion with a 5-3 victory against Jedinstvo Brodac. This game was an absolute treat to watch and I have to admit, the new title celebrations looked very impressive and lively compared to FM20.

League Matchday 35
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m35-jpg.524823/

We record another victory post celebration with a seven goal thriller against Železničar Bosanska Krupa as we reach the 100 point mark.

League Table going into May
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/table-apr21-jpg.524825/

And that's a wrap. At this point, the next three matches are mere formalities and I don't care if we lose any of them.

That's it for April. I will return with a quick overview of May fixtures as well as the results across Yugoslavia.

Welcome back to the Rudar Breza save. It is now May and the end of the season is here. Lets take a quick look at out last three league matches before we cover the results of all the cups plus the First and Second League.

League Matchday 36-38
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m36-jpg.525061/
https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/league-m37-jpg.525062/

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/final-table-jpg.525066/

As you can see, we win Group D of our group. This league has four groups with three 20 club leagues and one 21 club league. All the leagues feed into the same league in the tier above. Going up with us as champions of their league group are Vis Simm-Bau, Ljubic Prnjavor, and Brotnjo Premier.

Now for results from around Yugoslavia.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/krk-final-2021-jpg.525075/

The Kosovo Cup was won by Arberia, who beat Drita on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/krmc-final-2021-jpg.525077/

The Macedonian Cup was won by Vardar Skopje, who beat Gostivar 2-1.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/krmn-final-2021-jpg.525078/

The Montenegrin Cup was won by Sutjeska Nikšić, who defeated Budućnost Podgorica 2-1.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/krsl-final-2021-jpg.525079/

The Slovenian Cup was won by Aluminij Kidričevo, who beat Mura 1-0.

https://fm-base.co.uk/attachments/krsr-final-2021-jpg.525080/

Lastly, the Serbian Cup was won by Red Star Belgrade, who beat Radnik Surdulica 2-1.

That's it for the Rudar Breza save. I will return very soon with results from around Europe.
