Hinckley AFC have always been in my blood. I have followed them since I was a small kid, mainly because my Uncle was Chairman of Hinckley Athletic back in the 80s and early 90s.

When the club decided to merge with the other Hinckley side to become Hinckley United my Uncle left as Chairman but I continued to follow their journey.

They have always been in and around the non-league, their highest finish was in 2007 when they lost in the Conference North playoff final 4-3 to Farsley Celtic after finishing 4th in the league.

After this the club fell into financial despair and in 2013 were wound up by the high court.

The fans then rebuilt the club from the very bottom and were founded as Hinckley AFC in 2014, they joined the Midland Football League for the 2014/15 season in Division One and this is where they still are now.
