FM20 Adboard Patch - V1.4 Out Now!!!

I would like to change the default ads that appear in FM21, currently playing in level 9 england and wouldn't mind changing/updating those ads to ones i've created, although what i need is the fm.xml for FM21 and the folder called default which usually has the default ads which appear at most if not all stadiums. rabcp can you please assist?

You can just create a new default folder in this location C:\Users\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\pictures\ads\

The defualt fm.xml file is kept here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2021\data\game\ads.fmf however, I have been unable to extract it with the resource archiver

Thanks for responding mate, so i guess i can't do much until we can get our hands on that default folder which contains all the default adboards for FM21, keep me updated if you can, kind of over looking at these default fm ads hehe!

I have checked all files, where they are placed, but i only get white logos with FM2008 ads all around the pitch. Works perfectly on FM20 though.

All you need to do is create new ads and save them in this location C:\Users\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\pictures\ads\default using the names of the FM21 default ads above

I'm having trouble with black video ads. I followed instructions clearly and I'm coaching Bournemouth on FM 21 in the Championship and can't seem to get the video ads to work. It worked without problems on my FM20 saves. Do you have some solution ?

Why are my video adboards are black?

Either your video ads are in the wrong location or your system can not cope with HD graphics.
- Ensure you video ads are in this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2020\data\simatchviewer_uncompressed\videos
- Try re-naming the 'HD' folder in the above location to 'SD' this tricks the system into treating the video as SD files.
- Within FM21 open up the preferences menu and ensure that ‘graphics quality’ is set at least medium, this can be found under the 'Match' sub-menu.

I tried all of that. The videos are in that specific location, I renamed HD to SD, even lowered the graphic settings. Still the same black video boards. Thanks for your help, anyway.

@rabcp, you could please repost the actual default ads from FM21? i know we can see them in game but i can't find them anywhere at all in main directory and i actually wouldn't mind using 2 or 3 of them with the current ads i've done. Thanks

i take it you bought it off epic games store? why not get a refund if there isn't a fix and buy it off steam...no issues with steam.

The patch will need installed to a different file location if you play FM via Epic Games, as I use Steam don’t know what the equivalent location is but perhaps someone else can advise?

You’ll need to use the FM21 Resource Archiver to extract them, they are kept in the graphics.fmf file in the FM21 data folder.

I renamed the folder earlier to keep track of whick verion ive downloaded, but ill add a txt-file instead
