Just started a Utd save myself. 

 

Sold Matić to Valencia for 9m, Grant to MLS and Williams went out on loan to Betis.

 

In coming players were Cristian Pavón for £7.5m to solve the RW position, Max Aarons for £30m as RB cover, and a few players for the U23s and U18s.

Just started a Utd save myself. 

 

Sold Matić to Valencia for 9m, Grant to MLS and Williams went out on loan to Betis.

 

In coming players were Cristian Pavón for £7.5m to solve the RW position, Max Aarons for £30m as RB cover, and a few players for the U23s and U18s.

 

That RM spot really is lacking, no wonder Ole has been chasing Sancho so hard! I couldn't get Matic and Fred off the books permanently, so had to go for a loan with a mandatory fee.

How did you get Depay so cheap?! I think the buy-back clause for Depay was around £34m?!

He's coming to the end of his contract and Lyon placed him on the transfer liat. To be honest, I had no money left so took a punt on asking the board to sign him, which they did!

Zlatan's Milan form, coupled with hitting the ground running saw him unexpectedly pick up the World Player of the Year at 39! 
And so strange to see no Ronaldo or Messi

End of Season Summary 2020/21

A league won at the start of the season, with form dipping towards the tail end. Poor old Southampton, getting thumped in game as in life.
A genuine disappointment as I felt like we had a good run in against Atlalanta, but they put me to the sword quite unexpectedly.
Ole-esque semi-final disappointment, and another penalty loss. 
Immediate revenge form the saints, beating me on penalties the very next game after the 10-0 thumping.
Unexpected success from Dan James, keeping Rashford out of the side at points of the season, as well as Telles lumping 18 assists, mostly onto the lethal 39 year old Zlatan!
I fully believe in squad rotation, aiming to get everyone on the pitch for at least half the season, except Jones, he's terrible. Cavani was a bit of a flat track bully, only scoring against the lesser teams. A lot of players coming back from loan so it's time to decide to sell, play or re-loan.

Notable Transfers In

Both long-term targets for Utd in real life. Haaland was a bit pricey, but imagine seeing him and zlatan upfront? Skriniar was a snip at £38m
Amazing signing of David Alaba on a free will lockdown the LB position for the next few years at least.
This youngster I had spent most of Spring scouting and can pretty much play anywhere across midfield. I had to spring into action after Inter put a bid in. Certainly a player for the youth team for now.

 

Notable Transfers Out

Glad to shift Cavani off of the books and I was very surprised to see him heading to Bournemouth. 
I have disliked Phil Jones both in game and in life. I would have released him had Copenhagen not come in for him.
Fred making his loan permanent to Monaco.
Monaco have lined my pockets this summer, picking up 3 lots of deadwood. I didn't need either of these guys after bringing in Skriniar and Alaba.
More dross and another player I have a disliking for. He turned down about 8 moves before I shifted him to Montpellier.

 

Squad Overview

The squad is a little bigger than I would like. This is mostly down to a few loan players coming back to stake their claim for a place. I expect Brandon Williams to move on loan again before the window closes and I'll be looking to move Dalot and Pereira on if I can

A good move for Brandon Williams to get some regular Prem action. All being well, can dislodge Telles as LB cover to Alaba next season
