Has anyone ever managed in Israel before on Football Manager?? I am currently in my third season, and the rules regarding pre-contract is interesting. In the ‘rules’ tab, it says players 17-21, on expiry of their contract, will only leave if there is an agreement on both sides. However, this doesn't happen in game and they will just leave on frees. However, players over the age of 21, upon expiry of their contract, are assigned release clauses, should said agreement not be met. However, again, this does not happen in game, and these players have to still be purchased for an asking price, determined by the club, and they do not leave unless they are sold.
For the team I am managing, I haven't had a player that hasn't just left on a free, once their contract expired, but for the CPU, this is very common, and is quite annoying, given that I cannot pick players up for free, from the bigger teams, instead, having to pay a fee for a player, without a contract.
Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this..

Hi @Parker26
not managed in Israel but was interested in your question and not having much knowledge of the system there I looked at the set up via advanced rules and can see you can edit/ remove this rule if you wish here, if you want more info check out the editors forum here there is a sticky thread if you are unfamiliar with editing
or tag me if you get stuck and want to change this rule😉

hi @kingrobbo , thanks for your reply. Will this be able to change the rules in my current save, given that I am 3 seasons in? If not, is there a way that this can be done using the editor, in game or otherwise?
