First of all, the Audio Commentary Patch itself is NOT my work, nor do I want to take credit for that.
I wanted to get this great addition to work in FM 2018 and even though it is not as straightforward anymore as in previous versions, I did get it working in Football Manager 2018.
Step 1:
Get the Audio Commentary patch, last updated for FM 2016 here for the original files (I have added my own version of the Audio Patch for your convenience)
https://www.fmscout.com/a-fm16-audio-commentary-and-more-realistic-sounds.html
Step2:
1) Copy "match_events.xml" and "match_sounds.cfg" from the commentary patch to your installation folder: "Football Manager 2018\data\simatch\events"
2) a) Use the "resource archiver" and unpack the file "simatchviewer.fmf" which can be found in "Football Manager 2018\data".
b) Save the extracted folders in a separate directory.
c) All folders in the directory you leave "as is" only the "sounds" folder you empty and replace the files with the ones in the commentary audio downloaded file. make sure there are no subfolders in it (I remember there is a "default" subfolder for sure), so all audio files should be directly put into the (now empty) "sounds" folder.
Once done you use Resource Archiver again but now you pack all the files in that folder (not only the sounds folder, but all the files you extracted earlier) into a new "simatchviewer.fmf" and put the files in the folders I indicated.
d) Use the "resource archiver" to create a new "simatchviewer.fmf" file from the changed folder with "sounds" folder replaced with the commentary contents in it.
e) Move the "simatchviewer.fmf" file to the installation folder: "Football Manager 2018\data" and replace the existing file.
Make sure your game isn't running while you do all this and restart the game, empty cache and reload it, don't forget to allow sounds in matches to be played in "preferences".
Reload the cache and play your Football Manager 2018 game with live commentary again!
I tested this and works already for weeks without any issues.
ALWAYS make a backup of you original files in case something goes wrong or you want to revert back to the original sounds

Yes, there are new audio sounds (cheering etc.), English live commentary and also the text showing in the commentary bar has changed.
In the link provided from FMScout you can read about the release in more detail.
It's not perfect, sometimes the commentary of the two commentators overlaps but not much that can be done about it.
Great work from the creators of this addition, I use it for every FM version personally

As I mentioned I’m not the creator of this.
The best thing to do is use the link to FMScout and ask the creators. The sounds are all easy identifiable so should be possible to isolate them I guess by eliminating all the commentary sound files.

New thread was started with no commentary but with enhanced crowd sounds/chants here:

I posted this on numerous sites and nobody reported this, double check the procedure, the locations you copied the files in and otherwise try my download link (or if you used that try to create the file manually as I described.
Crash dump usually means you didn’t create the file with all folders as shown in the OP or you didn’t replace the existing files.

The problem was coming from a 3D Kit, it's all good now thanks.

There is already a separate thread with the sounds only, so no need to upload this again.
For those interested you might want to share which files you deleted for the elimination of the vuvuzuelas.

If I remember right you have to install the resource archiver through steam. Then once you've opened it, click "extract archive", choose the simatchviewer file in steamapps/common/FM19/data folder, and choose where you want to extract to (desktop is an easy one).
To pack the file again after editing the sounds, just click on "create archive" and choose the steamapps/common/FM19/data folder folder. Overwrite the original file when it asks you to.
NOTE: If you want to delete all the commentary and just have the crowd/match sounds, delete all the audio files in upper case.

It seems same files in the FM19....any suggestion ???
Thank You...

Yes it does, same procedure as described, only
in FM 2020 and FM 2021 the sound files are in “simatchviewer-pc.fmf”.
I'm working on a version for FM2021, but it needs manual recoding of the xml files, so will take a week or two to get that fixed.
For FM 2019 and FM 2020 follow the instructions in the OP to get this working.
(It could be that the file for the sounds changed in FM2019 too to “simatchviewer-pc.fmf”, instead of “simatchviewer.fmf“, I don’t have that version installed anymore, but the overall description with using the Resource Archive tool is the same. )
