Finally got back into Football Manager after starting a career with my beloved Everton. Done some good business, Sold Heitinga for £9.5mill and signed Albiol for £6.5mill along with Neal Maupay.

Finished my first season in second place to Man Utd on goal difference, my squad is ageing and it needs investing in.

Eagerly anticipating a nice little transfer budget, starting shortlisting potential investments that could make a huge difference to the squad.

Yea well the fucking transfer budget arrived and it was £2.65million. FUCK OFF, closed the game and I've not played it since.

Fuming.

I just mean like, how is that even possible? to get that much budget?! I'll make an ultimatum but can't see that working, only other thing I could do is accept the £40mill that City offered for Fellaini...

And that'd be pointless unless you're getting at least 50% of that transfer revenue to use to bring in new players.

I didn't find it that difficult with Everton, I sold Baines and Felliani at the start of the first season for a combined 57 million, i brought in Lewandowski for 21million amongst others, but then had sell him on the season after to Real Madrid for 33 million which was a nice 12million profit, i think with Everton its a case of buying with a view to selling them on for more not long after.

I finished 4th in my first season, then 6th in my 2nd season, never started the 3rd season, as the update game out

But I really really don't want to sell Baines or Fellaini, I want to builed a team around them.

I've had to sell Vellios for £2mill, Hitzelsperger for £1mill, Hibbert for £ 250k. To just raise some extra funds. All I've managed to get in is Essien on loan ffs. Going to be a tough season.

It wont even give me the option to ask for more transfer budget...

Just get through the next season, get CL football and you should have a lot to play with next season. You get a lot more for TV money in the second season I think, about £20m more iirc.

I've been at Everton for 10 years now (yes im in 2022).

I remember in the first season I finished 6th and got a Europa league spot. The thing with Everton is that Kenshite gives you no money and the best way to improve your team is the go find free transfers.

I got Mattia Destro and Vladmir Weiss on frees and they became absolute guns in the 2nd season when I won the league from no where. Didn't have to sell Baines or Fellaini (in fact ive still got Fellaini at 33 years of age or something). Bought Carlos Fierro for like 2mil and played a 4-2-4 formation with Destro and Jelevic/Fierro up front and Weiss and Mirallas on the wings (or Naismith). Gibson and Fellaini bossed the midfield and I also bought Adryan for like 1mil. Remember you can use monthly payments to buy players but don't use it too much or you end up with a huge amount of debt.

It was funny that I won the league that season cause I didn't win it again until like 4 seasons later.. Man City won 4 in a row =.="

Oh and Kenwright left after a while and I got taken over by another businessmen who used to give me a shitload of money for summer transfers, then take it all away (even when I had 50mil left over) and i was left with $0 for January and contract renewals

Remember to scout regens as Everton have like the worst rate of giving world class regens
