SD Card for more space

I have a MacBook Pro and my space is running low. I was wondering if I would be able to have my Football Manager files which include the large graphics files etc, stored and ran from an external SD Card. Would this be possible? Has anyone else done this?

I don't know but the FM folder inside your Documents folder may be relocated to an external drive. Don't know if this is possible though.
