Unable to connect to the Steam Network?

My first post on here.

I have been having problems with Steam today.

Trying to play Football Manager 13 earlier today and get this message: Steam Error

Unable to connect to the Steam Network. 'Offline Mode' is unavailable because there is no Steam login information stored on this computer.

You will not be able to use Steam until you can...

I have tried everything from deleting files, updating my pc, uninstall and reinstall Steam many times and re-downloaded Football Manager 13 and nothing has worked.

Any Help

make a backup and delete 'clientregistry.blob' from your steam folder. restart your pc and load steam, it should re-download your registry info and fix it

I have the same problem.I play the game on a Laptop with no internet connection when i am not at home(about10 hours a day).I have it set to offline mode,but this morning for some reason i have got the same message as above and the game will not start,it was fine yesterday.I am getting sick and tired of steam.It was a bad move when FM joined up with them.Will just have to read my book for the next 8 hrs or so.

Same thing has happened today.Yesterday i played FM13 with no internet connection ans steam set to offline mode.Shut the game down and switched off the laptop.This morning fired up the laptop started FM13 and got the message.Unable to connect to the steam network'Offline mode'is unavailable as there is no steam login information stored on this computer. You will not be able to use Steam until you can connect to the steam network.
