Yeah, up until now the stages have been quite dramatic! Van de Poel's win was crazy, same as the good old Cavendish 🙂 And almost everyone have been involved in a crash already 😛

He will probably leave the Tour after a week, starting to prepare for the Olympics where he will compete with his mountainbike. He already said he won't finish the Tour.

He's still in yellow though, I don't think he expected to keep it even after today's stage. Pogacar was flying

It's amazing up until now. But Pogi has no competition this year. Roglic abandon, Thomas is miles behind and Carapaz is behind and not looking so well. Curious what will happen in the mountains!

That is going to be really interesting

got to say I am enjoying the Tour its been excellent

do you think Cav can get the 3 stages he needs ? he wont do it this year but can he get it next time

Thomas is out of it

Pogi looks like he will do it unless there is something dramatic…. but there has been lots of drama this year already

He wins another stage he is immense

The 22-year-old's victory also sees him move to the top of the king of the mountains classification and he is now likely to arrive in Paris on Sunday's processional final stage as the owner of three of the four race jerseys - the yellow, the polka dot and white jersey - for the second consecutive year.

Interesting that they didn't have the Alpe D'Huez stage in again this year, I personally always love that stage.

Wouldn't want to do it myself that said, I'd pack up less than a quarter the way up.

Yorkshire are going back in for the Grande Departe for 2023, it was a huge success in 2014

Btw, any intel on Leo Hjelde and Matthew Anderson, seems Bielsa wants them both

Nothing much, both are unproven although Hjelde has made the squad for the CL.

Nah pal, just chilling out after the exertions of Wednesday. As well as copying all my CD collection to an external hard drive.

Watched this morning, the Austrian girl was amazing, to do 40k alone is incredible. Lizzie was trying to get an attack going, but nobody seemed interested.

interesting there were no comms. So riders got no feedback on how the gaps were, explains the Dutch reaction

yes no comms and IIRC no feedback allowed from the support team after a certain point….it sounds like  van Vleuten totally miscalculated and fully believed when she had caught the 2 leaders she had the race, she had forgot 3 had broken away so genuinely thought she had Gold
