Hi all,
First time posting on here so please be gentle.
I've just downloaded the latest update and after unzipping it the files are XML files and when I try starting a new game the FM21 game tells me the files need to be tested and verified before being used so can anyone explain whats happening please ??

I'm having the same issue
I've read through that link you've sent kingrobbo but my issue isn't with the “Data Update - Changes” File, it's with all the others such as “Data Update - Players and Staff” “Data Update - Netherlands” “Data Update - Germany” etc. The only ones that are okay to use on are the England Update and the Changes Update.
Are all the data files required to get all the changes? Or are they all rolled into the “Data Update - Changes” file meaning that's the only one we need?

Data update is the usual player/staff changes
the other files are @TheMinsterman changes to have 21 /22 season teams in right leagues and missing staff/players club changes etc read his pinned threads here for details

As with previous posts, I too seem to be having problems in being able to access the latest update: FYI I downloaded the latest file 20mins ago (16:30 AEST 22 07 2021).
Any help in fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated. I've attached screenshots of my download and the resulting issue when I start a new game.

I've just had the same problem with the ‘Players and staff’ file in the update. It says it needs to be tested and verified first?

Best we can offer for now is to open that XML in your editor and save it as a FMF file (default for the editor) and then delete the XML.

Hey, I had the issue with the Changes file, I did as suggested and then suddenly it told me the same thing for the Players & Staff file which was fine before, are the files co-dependent and do all need converting?
