FM22 - game crashing on MacBook

Good Morning,

Well I've been excited to play my new FM22, I'm visiting home for the first time in two years and I settle down to play a save. Well, issues. The game starts ok on MacBook through the Epic Games Launcher, but I begin to experience crashes more frequently. The game screen freezes (mid match, mid tactic, mid anything) and takes me out of the game and kicks me out of the login on the MacBook. When I re-enter (fingerprint scan is unavailable, as if the machine has just started or been restarted), the game is showing running in Epic, but is nowhere to be found on the machine. Every time I restart the machine, each crash gets progressively shorter. 

I found one page on a SI forum with some people experiencing similar issues and there doesn't seem to be any update from SI. I was wondering, has anyone  here experienced the same issue and managed to correct it?

I have a Macbook Pro 13-inch 2020 model running Monterey 12.0.1. I am using the real name fixes and have a badge file and kits running.

Any help would be appreciated.

same issue here. same MacBook same iOS version. 

I'm the same, played a few weeks on Catalina and all was fine. Updated to Monterey last week and now constant crashes! I've raised a ticket with SI and have been following a thread on Sports Interactives own forum and a SI rep responded to the thread saying that they couldn't make the issue occur on their machines so were having a hard time dealing with the issue. For reasons unknown to me the mod has closed the thread but has said to contact him via PM so I've sent a message and will keep everyone up to date if I hear of a solution.

This is the thread if anyone wants to look. Obviously not a small issue, seems plenty that are having the issues.

Yep me to (2020 Macbook Pro). It's a known issue with Monterey , a lot of people having crashing issues when playing full screen videos as well. I've found it doesn't happen when playing on an external monitor or in windowed mode.

I've had the same issue. I opened a trouble ticket several days ago. As kingrobbo said, please report to SI if you're having this problem. The more information they have the more it helps them out.

I've raised a ticket and currently in dialogue with one of the guys at SI. If I get any answers, I'll make sure to post it here. I can only play around ten real minutes before I'm kicked out.

Same here. 2020 intel MacBook Pro running 20.0.1. Crashes during matches. Returns me to OS login page where I have to type in my user id (instead of automatically selecting it). Super frustrating. 

Anyone had any update on this yet? My last email was basically saying they can't find an issue and we just have to live with it for now! Hopefully there will be a solution soon. Its beyond frustrating to have bought the game, got started in a season then not being able to play!!

you need to get together link the bug report here and make some noise over at SI all of you

Just to give an update, I submitted screenshots to SI and there has been no update. Just tried the game and it lasted two minutes. It is literally unplayable.

Ive got 3 bug reports going back a few weeks 2  unanswered….. but add to the 4 that are still totally unanswered and over a year old LOL

Playing in windowed mode seems to be a fix for this, im running that until hopefully they fix it

I've been excited to play my new FM22,I have a MacBook Air recently updated it to the macOS monterey now every time I play fm22 in match couple of mins if freezes and my screen goes black and I have to sign back in and it does it over and over again every time I try and play a match I've tried everything its the macOS monterey since I have had it there's been this problem 

Can any help me please I hope to hear anything back thanks..

I play in windowed mode and it works fine. 

Looks like the latest update from SI still hasn't fixed the issue. Works fine still in windowed mode, but when playing in full screen mode it still crases usually during a match and goes back to the login screen like it did before.

thats poor it should have been fixed

No not yet, I'll have a look and see if I can figure out how to submit a bug report to SI. The frustrating thing is that it doesn't generate a crash report like it usually does when a program crashes.

Hi. Has anyone found a solution to crash the FM 22 on Mac OS Monterey?

Having the same problem now. Game can't work on Monterey.

I keep have a crash MacBook. Im in the 3rd season with Groningen ? It has worked perfectly fine until now

Anyone know any fixes ?
