To all those who have problems with the Atletico Bilbao kits, try to use these two shirts instead of chris's.

In any case I think the problem could be that in the editor there are two or more versions of the bilbao shirt, and that the game does not "recognize" the shirt you have in your folder.

to use the images you add, you must make sure that they have the same name as those in the folder, so my advice is, first make a backup copy of the kits in the folder, then to avoid making a mistake, copy the name of the image file and rename the two new images you want to replace (bilbao1 - bilbao2)

then, open the game, clear the cache, reload the skin and see one of the Atletico bilbao matches, if these kits work well, if these don't work either then you can solve the problem with the in-game editor.

in this case we find the "0" but we have in addition the specific order that in the champions league the shirt has slightly different colors. This small but significant change makes the game no longer recognize your kit that you have in the folder, but goes to generate the complete default classic of the game.

Now .. I don't have FM22 so for you the advice is to check the pre-game editor to see if there are any "errors" of this type, or check with the in-game editor, if you have it , if for Athletic Bilbao you find this type of information that makes it so that the 3d kit is not seen in-game.

Hey has anyone found a fix for the Athletic Club (Bilbao) kits? Tried everything

I've tried all of the suggestions above, I've also tried moving the images into my German 3D Graphics folder and pasting in the codes from the config folder into a new one. The last attempt i made was trying some kit textures that i know have worked on other teams but still no luck.

 

All I can think is that it's hardcoded into the game that you can't put a kit on Athletic Bilbao, below you'll see the config codes (which absolutely match the PNG image names, including the lower case)

Ah this gives me hope, I was going off the shirts in the dressing room and in the board meetings, did it show on the start screen for you?
