I think retired person is the correct thing to do here for now until more information is provided.
In game Benjamin Mendy and Gylfi Sigurdsson have both simply been deleted.
We could ban Greenwood via an extra file but we don't know how long to set the ban for.
We could delete Greenwood via the extra file.
I think retiring him should essentially remove him from the game so as good as deleting. I've tested this and searching for him after retiring brings up no results.
We can of course be flexible and update to a ban if specific dates are provided publicly in the future.
