Any idea how significant the board takes these? Are you likely to lose/keep your job based on winning/losing these matches?

I'd imagine they'd probably be taken along the lines of the Community Shield and European Super Cup. Nice to win, but never seen as important, especially to the Premier League teams and the rest of Europe. Such games though have I believe more significance to the South American teams like the Club World Cup does perhaps?
CplCurmudgeon
They are built as Super Cups, so the game sees them as relatively unimportant, much like the community shield. I built them for the purposes of a few extra games against different opposition having gotten bored of building preseason friendlies. With the Club World Cup becoming a four-year cash-cow, I'm glad I started these, as it still gives opportunities to meet teams from other continents more regularly.
That said, reputations are still between 145 & 160, so it's a morale builder, and it's important to fans in as much as it can be.

Fantastic work 🙂

Could you potentially create an Afro-Asian Cup which has the AFC Champions League Winners play the CAF Champions League Winners?
CplCurmudgeon
Hi, I'm sorry, I missed this. Apologies for delay. Yes, if you could give me a couple of days, I'll create something.

It does, it just didn't format as a hyperlink. Try again.

How difficult is it to get these tournaments working? I've wanted to tinker around with adding some extra youth tournaments of decent reputation and messing around with the overall European formats as well, but the editor can come off as a little intimidating at first glance with stuff like that.

It depends. Messing with European comps themselves is difficult owing to editor limitations. The biggest struggle I have is fixture congestion, especially with the Sportwashing World Cup being held in December and congesting seasons, I'll be glad when we get to FM23 tbh.

@Julian Viglietti apologies, this escaped me. I'll take another look this week, will look to make it a permanent edition from FM23 onwards.

Ok, so I have a version in testing with two new competitions:
Intercontinental AFC-CAF Clubs' Cup
AFC Champions League Winners versus TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Winners
Intercontinental AFC-CAF Clubs' Trophy
AFC Cup Winners versus TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Winners
The match will rotate over 14 years across 14 stadia with a major stadium from Africa or Asia each year.
I've not had a chance to simulate games for this in previous versions of FM, so no history will be added until FM23.
I'll update the main file once I'm done testing fixture congestion etc.
