I noticed Boca Juniors small logo (ID = 82) is not in the ESSv5 design. I think that is ESSv6?
And also, generic logos are missing the config file.

When too much gets “extruded” the effect of the shiny layer disappears so that likely resulted in the different feel of the logo you described.
Some prefer the logo done one way, others another so decided to share both options but you are correct that it makes logos look completely differently as a result
