Is there a reason why upcoming free agents are released already in the update? Is there an alternative file where Kessie/Dybala/Di Maria etc are still contracted to their current team?

We are transferring players to their new clubs already, even though most will join the 1st of July, so it makes more sense to set players like you named as released as well. There's no alternative file, but you can download a previous version of the update if you want (I think we started releasing them around the 20th of May) https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/releases/13
