But it’s not in the past on the game. So basically a six month loan deal will now be an 18 month loan deal in the game. This is ridiculous 

To be clear 4 things happen every night:

1. All submissions with a loan set in the past have the loan removed.
2. All players on loan in the official DB with an expiry date in the past have the loan removed.
3. All submissions with a future transfer set in the past have the transfer made permanent.
4. All players with a future transfer in the official DB with a date in the past have the transfer made permanent.

The loans you've just tagged me in are all set in the past, which is why they were all automatically removed.

The update should automatically calculate the dates relative to the start of the game, i'm investigating if that is working properly at the moment.

I'm not going to be able to look into this in anymore detail. But what I believe what should happen is:

• All dates should be based on real life e.g. a loan starting now until the end of the season would end in 2023.
• The Data Update automatically adjusts all dates based on the start date of the game.
• In the past we've had files that automatically adjust everyone's age and expiry date 1 year, but honestly i've completely forgotten about this, this year until now.

However the data update has changed alot over the years and I may be misremembering and honestly it's Friday and i'm tired and i've had a couple of beers so please don't take that as gospel wait for other people to chime in.

It’s mainly because of the way SI set this up. We’re not able to set future loan deals & set more than one future transfer/loan deal. Like what happens if a player joins a club and gets loaned out to another one? Those are two transfers in one

Is there somebody that has downloaded todays update and can check at what club Gervinho is? He should be transferred to Aris, but apparently still shows up at Trabzonspor in-game

The Data Update has now been updated to modify all dates by 1 year. So a loan from now until June 2023 will now appear as a loan until June 2022 in the Update.

If you wish it can also be combined with this optional file which will modify all ages and existing contracts by 1 year as well.

Does that only apply to loans we add in this update? For example Locatelli has a 2 year loan until 2023 in real life, and then will transfer permanently. So if the loan gets set to end in 2022, we would have to move the future transfer back a year as well. Not many cases like this probably, but it would require some work.

It only applies to submissions yes so nothing will happen to Locatelli.

Locatelli does seem to be an odd exception since 2 year loans are fairly rare. 

I could code it so it automatically modifies his as well, but i'm not sure it's worth the effort for edge cases.

If someone can demonstrate that it's not an edge case then i'll bump it higher up the priority list.

Do I have to start a new save in 2021 to make the loans available? Is there anything I can change or is it just the way it is? For example, when I start 2022 with Mjällby AIF, I don't have Amir Al-Ammari. 

Please note that in-game players will automatically be moved around between a club's main and reserve/youth teams. So if it's listed that a player has been transferred to a reserve team, please just move him to the actual club. By doing that we'll prevent cases like this, where transfers are being done to clubs that are not in the game 👍

Hello i'm using an file that uses the results, promotions, relegation etc… So my save stars in June 2022, but with this database updates all players has their contract decrease from 1 year.  I know this database is made to start in 2021 but : Is there a solution to change it ? I readed the thread and I understand why this change was made.

I'm having the same issue when using custom start date with real results to make the game like “FM23”. Until this change I had the perfect “FM23” experience. Is there anyway to fix this @BramNUFC ? Would it be possible to release two different files, where one is without the change in dates?

It would be really good if it is possible to solve that problem so that you can start in 2022 instead of 2021 with the new transitions. It just feels right when you do it... 🙂

Do you guys want to keep this section the way it is, or should we move the date fields around? I see a fair amount of people mixing them up sometimes by accident, as it probably makes more sense for the brain if the start date is on top

I don't there should be a reason to use the custom start date file to start at the end of the season, when our update includes promotions/relegations etc as well.

If you can explain why using the custom start date is better I might look into it, but it doesn't seem worth creating two seperate updates that achieve the same thing.

It's for increased up to date realism. Correct clubs in the 22/23 UEFA competitions. Players being at their new clubs at their real life age and the real year. Economic aspects of cups, promotions, relegations taking affect the correct year. All in all I think it gives the most realistic and enjoyable experience. 

I understand you guys put tons of effort and time into your mods/updates and I'm very grateful for your work. I myself have no idea how to create these types of updates. So if it's an easy fix to have a separate Data update with real life dates, you know this best. If it requires lots of work I totally understand if you will not bother doing it. I appreciate your work either way 🙂 

Exactly I would like to use real results because my favorite team (Marseille) just qualified to UCL (This is a rare event  haha). I would like to have a more realistic experience. But I totally understand if it require too much work to do it. 

Having transfert updates is amazing, thanks a lot for this huge work !!

The league update files do also update which teams have qualified for the European competitions 👍

That's not an error. You've been banned from requesting updates, because you constantly send in inaccurate ones and ignore all comments made to you

I have only posted a couple once I done they finally transfer anyways so it it perm ban

I think it feels more real if you start in 2022 instead of 2021. Maybe just a parenthesis on my part.
