Here I am for the 2023 edition of the new format of the Italian football championship.

A simple but innovative idea that will resurrect the Italian national team and the various teams of various levels of the championship. There will be no more teams that will retreat immediately after being promoted. There will also be a fair distribution of TV rights and you will see, for example, a newly promoted in "Serie A" that maybe could spend money as if it were in the category for many years.

Below I will list the various championships and the various cups.

Championships:

- "Serie A TIM" : 20 teams (3 relegations);

- "Serie BKT" : 24 teams (2 direct promotions + 1 play-off*, 3 relegations);

- "Lega Pro Prima Divisione" : 24 teams (2 direct promotions + 1 play-off*, 4 relegations);

- "Lega Pro Seconda Divisione" : 24 teams (3 direct promotions + 1 play-off*, 2 relegations);

- "Serie D" : 24 teams (1 direct promotion + 1 play-off**, 4 relegations);

- "Campionato Eccellenza Nord/Sud" : 24 teams (1 direct promotion for each group + 1 play-off**, 4 relegations).

* 4 teams participating

** 6 teams participating

Cups:

- Coppa Italia (identical format to the English FA Cup);

- PS5 Supercup (Championship winner and Italian Cup winner);

- Coppa di Lega Pro (teams of Lega Pro Prima e Seconda Divisione + U21 teams of Serie A TIM);

- Coppa Italia Dilettanti (Serie D teams, Eccellenza Nord/Sud, Promozione and Prima Categoria).

Youth Championships:

Under 21:

- Primavera 1 TIM (14 teams);

- Primavera 2 (11 teams);

- Primavera 3 (2 groups divided between north and south of 10 teams each);

- Primavera 4 (7 teams).

Under 18:

- Under 18 Serie A Championship (two groups divided between north and south by 14 teams each);

- Under 18 Serie B Championship (two groups divided between north and south of 10 teams each);

- Under 18 C Series Championship (four groups composed of 15 teams each);

- Under 18 D Series Championship (four groups composed of 18 teams each).

I would like to point out that this idea was completed by drawing inspiration from the English football system. Attentive lovers and fans of English football in fact will be able to notice that this is a copy of the system of championships and cups of each league through the editor of Football Manager 2023.

I hope you will be in many cases trying this wonderful database and I'm sure you won't regret it!

All the teams I removed from Serie C and Serie D ended up in the Lega Pro First and Second Division and in the unique division of the new "Serie D".

That’s not what I mean. For example, Serie D is usually composed of 8 or 9 divisions, you created a new Serie D with only 1 division, so there are teams that are obviously left out of this division. I‘ve noticed some of them ended up in the Eccellenza, is it right?
