@Bjartne If they're playing university football you can transfer them to a team called Temp College and set the person type to retired
Martin Søreide was set to Retired Person. Martin Søreide has been transferred to 
Temp College. Martin Søreide now has a contract starting on 1st August 2022. Martin Søreide on a free transfer.
