The English Football League (EFL) has approved American hedge fund manager Tom Wagner's proposed takeover of Birmingham City.

This is me, here I am with Jose, I was there at Madrid, Chelsea and Utd. He taught me all I know tactically. I've just been given the Birmingham job and no one thinks im good enough, I feel like Tory Deeney going back to his boyhood club, this is my boyhood club too but unlike Troy I have to win them other first.

Me with Jose

I met Tom (Wagner) in a preseason friendly game while at Utd, we travelled to the States where he runs the car company Hertz, we had a great chat and he got in touch a few months ago when he was looking at Blues asking my advice, I was born and raised in Brum, I had a season ticket and now I’m back.

Tom was happy to spend money on the team heck he knew we needed investment but our hands were tied, with FFP it meant we could only spend a max 2million unless we raised some funds;

Massive earners at the club not doing enough were also a concern and highlighted to be addressed.

Tom’s Targets

  • Compete this season and match or beat our highest finish in the Championship in the last 5 years.
  • Bring in a young USA player to grow the game
  • Get high earners off the books
  • Work within FFP restrictions of £2 million

Transfers on Twitter: "DEAL CLOSE‼️ Real Madrid are close to completing the signing of 19 year old Jude Bellingham from Dortmund. Talks are very advanced with RMD looking to get the deal
Jude

The Bellingham's continue to save the club, Jude has made a massive 115million transfer to Madrid, we had a 15% of profit add on when we sold him so we have a lovely bit of money coming in summing in;

Birmingham to Dortmund £20millon

Dortmund to Madrid £115million

£95million profit /.15 =

£14.25millon for Blues

Jobe, Jude's brother also leaves on a £2million deal with a 25% of profit, he goes to Sunderland.

All in all it left us with a depleted team but with £6.3million to play with and boy do we need to spend i mean look at this team right now, yuk!

Squad as it stands

I needed some help and before i could get my transfer business underway i needed a backroom staff, i turned to a guy i knew wouldn't let me down, a guy that was with us at Utd assistant coach, Rui Faria, another Mourinho disciple and he comes in as my assistant manager, it was hard to lure him off the beach in Dubai but i needed him. (You can see him on the right in the top picture with Jose).

Transfers

First player we targeted is free agent from up the Cov Road, Michael Rose. A ball playing defender that will suit our play out from the back style. With only 2 centre defenders on the books after the Rose signing and wanting to play 3 at the back we dipped into the market again. Barry Fry (blues legend) had been on the phone about Ronnie Edwards, lots of interest from around the league but he wanted us to have first option and we jumped at the chance for 1.4mill plus addons.

Yakou Miete is a striker I’ve always admired, when Reading got relegated I was instantly interested, they only wanted 2.2million total and we pushed some of that down the road in add one and succeed his signature. A beast up front who will work all day and can bag us some goals!

Next up we signed someone to play in the midfield on loan from Arsenal, Charlie Patino. He was on loan at Blackpool last season and he’s ready for a step up to the Championship. He styles his game on Cesc Fabregas and Santi Cazorla, sign me up!

Blackburn finished 7th last season and ended up releasing Bradley Dack, he played 27 games last year and seems to be back to fitness, we took him on trial. His agent suggested he wants around 40k a week which we couldn’t even remotely do. We decided to wait him out until a week before the season and he signed on for 22k a week with some incentives.

Derbys non promotion from league one sealed kristian Bielik’s fait, he would be moving on and after a successful loan last year we decided to sign him permanently, a deal which fans suggested was a priority. He came in at just under 2mill as well with addons taking him over 2.3mill.

We spent about 6 million and that’s us with nothing left in the transfer budget, we have room to bring in some free agents and loans on low money which we succeeding in doing even bringing in an American to appease the owners in Matt Olosunde a right back who was at Impressive Preston last season.
