I'm not able to see the latest update - even after copying and pasting the files into the correct location in My Documents -→ FM23 -→ Editor Data.\\
I relaunched the game several times but I do not see the new files in there… any advice?

that config is not a xml file , thats a link not a file
it should look like this

that xml link is nothing to do with the data update-they are only fmf files, that is something you have put in your editor data folder somehow
delete everything in that folder so its empty
start a new save game,exit game
it should generate a new xml file in that folder
now add the files you want to the editor data folder and start again

thanks mate - I found out that I had copied the XML files in the "Public" domain within My Documents rather than my own profile - funnily enough it worked when I had it in both places.
