Messi's, Kane's contract is still valid until 2023 after the update… In the winter transfer window these they sign their precontract with PSG for 0.
Why is that? Any ideas?

to be clear… these players have been transferred in the game, but their contract's length are still from their previous ones. So Messi joined Inter Miami, but he has an expiring contract right away, so clubs can pick him up for cheap, or with pre-contracts for free in the summer. In my save Messi joined Liverpool in the winter for like 5m : D

I've had the same issue, can't see a reason why either. Only been this way for a few days though.

@grggrg @triangularchism I just checked the most recent and Messi's is definitely set to 2024 which is right.
Are you guys using any other files in combination with ours?

Just the Data Update and the Real Names Fix from here. I noticed that any and all transfers have unchanged contract dates though.

The date is correct as 2024 (one year less than the real date of 2025)
Can you screenshot your editor data folder?

One thing i did notice is that the updated ages and contracts file doesn't seem to be getting read by the game. As in, it's not here:

And since doing all that, I reinstalled real name fix and data update from scratch and everything now seems normal! No idea what I did differently, but it's worth a try if you're getting the same issues. Thanks for the help @Footygamer 🙂
