Taking charge of your U21 teams

In previous years of FM, I have been able to take charge of the U21 team when I fire the U21 manager which then adds the U21 team to my tabs and I can take charge of their matches.

 

However, in FM24 I have fired my manager but it still doesn't allow me to take charge of the U21 team in competitive matches, only friendlies. Does anyone know how to change this?

I found it. It has slightly changed as before it was simply firing your U21 manager but now you also have to select take control by going to:

Staff Responsibilities>Staff>Handles Team Selection>Take Control
