We wrapped up the league in fashion beating 2nd place Dunfermline. This took our unbeaten run to 26 matches. Kris Doolan has had a phenomenal season scoring 28 goals so far. I was able to make one signing during the January transfer window. Paul Paton has agreed a deal to join St Mirren when his contract expires. He has been stripped of captaincy and placed in the reserves, Mads Laudrup has been named captain.

We didn't continue our spectacular form of earlier in the season but after all the league was already wrapped up and broke the record for points in a single season. The most disappointing result was against Hamilton when we went 4-1 down only to pull back another goal.

The squad has performed exceptionally the past season. We have a strong squad but look to lose 11 of them due to contracts and loans expiring. We still have out excellent up front partnership of Nicky Clark, Kris Doolan and Christie Elliott, who scored 68 goals between them.

Going into next season I am going to have to bargain hunt very well and add at least 10 players to the squad, especially the defence.

There was a lot of transfer activity this season, my best signing has to be Nicky Clark who got was named First Division Signing of the Season. We also made a huge profit, despite this our balance looks grim.

It was a good year for Scottish football as Celtic lifted the Europa League in a repeat of Seville 2003.

Kris Doolan was the stand out player once again securing both First Division and club player of the year.

Six players from the team of the year were Partick Thistle players, the bad news is 3 of them will be leaving at the end of the season when their loans expire.

A very poor budget considered out wages were 4th lowest in the First Division. It's going to be extremely difficult to compete in the SPL.

Some key players left due to ageing and contracts expiring. I will be looking to bring in about 10 players, at least one player from each position, I have already signed one player who agreed a pre contract.

Luca Bertoni is a product of AC Milan he is a natural replacement for Paul Paton and I believe has more potential.

A key part of the step up was finding the right assistant manager and I believe Ricky Sbragia is the man to help me with my stage in Scotland.

Yeah I've had him before too, need a whole new background set-up. It will be tough but if I can get a parent team and a few loans it should work out.

Kilmarnock let their hottest prospect Rory Mckenzie go on a free transfer so I snapped him up on the longest deal I could. He is a big part of my plans for the future.

Paul George joins on loan from Celtic until the end of the season, for a change we are covering the players wage.

We had a crap run in pre-season but all of the fixtures were to raise some much needed funds. I wasn't able to get a natural left back so I will be training a lot of players to play in more positions. The club also set up a link with Tottenham meaning we get some of their youngsters on loan.

Another young versatile player joins the squad, Ross Docherty was released from Livingston and signed a three year deal with us.

The young winger can play either side and offers back up for upfront. Keven McEvoy is also out of contract in the summer and I hope to keep him permanently.

We've had an excellent start to the season, I didn't except us to be so high in the table. I was very happy with the draw against Celtic. Season ticket sales are on the up from last year, but still only a fifth of the stadium. Kris Doolan was inducted into the club legends.

Yeah they are but none of the players are on long term deals and want major wage rises. Yeah I thought that when I got offered him from Spurs.

He's been doing about a goal every other game and most from the bench so pretty good so far.

We have continued to overachieve and sit with a real chance of Europa League football next season if we can keep it up. If I can keep this squad together and add a few players next season I see us as a challenge for 2nd place. The highlight has to be the 6-3 epic with Kilmarnock. Meanwhile Dundee United have been taken over but it's yet to be seen if there will be much investment.
