Defensive Tactics Help

Hi - I am really desperate for help here as I simply can't improve my results.

 

The basic problem is that I concede goals almost as soon as I try to change my tactics to be more defensive, yet at the same time, I also concede goals when I keep on attacking. A defensive version of my tactic is shown below, yet I have no ability to absorb pressure whatsoever. I then revert back to my positive tactic, spend the rest of the game bombarding the opposition but without success.

 

I concede one or two goals with virtually the first couple of shots the opposition has. Is there anything obviously wrong here? It's especially painful away from home. My three tactics are listed as Away and conservative, which is a total failure. Home and Aggressive which produces basketball scores and See the game out, which invariably leads to conceding late goal!
