I see promotions and relegations are now part of the update, but the players still don't transfer immediately, will this be implemented in the update files?

Whenever you make a submission you can see this message at the top.

Transfers agreed in May to a European team should be set as a future transfer on July 1st.

Transfers agreed in June to a European team can be done as an instant transfer but set the start date as July 1st.

Released players should be set to Will Leave At End Of Contract in May and released in June.

Even though transfers don't technically go through until July 1st, we think most people downloading in June want the latest transfers.

The problem is in game the transfers/released players all go through July 1st 2024 which is a full year in game with the same squads, but promotions/relegations have already taken effect.

So is it possible to get a July 1st 2024 start date so that new saves have all transfers start immediately to line up with the promotions/relegations?

I'm not sure what you mean? I can't tell if you're asking for a start date file that starts the game on July 1st 2024 or for all the transfers/end of contract to happen instantly rather than in 1 years time, which should be the case after June 1st.

Apologies in advance if this has already been covered.

The way we are releasing players doesn't seem to make any sense, why aren't players who have been released in real life, immediately released on the game?

All players who have been released are due to release the following season. If thats how its supposed to be why arent actual club transfers set to next season?

Does this make sense?

@barnetfan I've merged your question with another topic saying the same.

See the quote above from me.

I can't tell whether you're saying the way people are told to do things is wrong or if you're saying people aren't following the way they're told to do things. Can you be more explicit it saves a lot of time rather than other people trying to guess what exact submissions you're referring to.

Hi Footygamer,

Many thanks for merging.

Apologies, what i'm trying to put across is that if the goal is to make transfers and releases for a real life time line, then it doesnt seem to be correct. Example below

Nick Hayes has joined Barnet and is in their squad, Laurie Walker who has been released is still in their squad.

Surely Nick Hayes should have it down as a future transfer to Barnet just like Laurie Walker has a future release?

For instance Wrexham are now promoted to League 1 but all the players they have released after getting promoted in real life are set to leave at the end of their current contract in June 2024. So all these players are part of the League 1 squad in the DB update but not in real life.

Promoted club Wrexham examples:
Luke Young , Ben Tozer, Rob Lainton,  Aaron Hayden, Jordan Tunnicliffe, and Callum McFadzean are all in the promoted League 1 squad, despite being released in real life.

How I read it is that loans, released players etc will be updated in one go from 1st June which I think is how it’s been done for a few years now

I think a start date of July 1st would work, yes.

How can I achieve that start date though?

You can’t, game won’t allow it

@barnetfan @Runealdo9 I think this is just a case of not everyone singing from the same hymn sheet unfortunately, those transfers SHOULD have been put through as a future transfer up until tomorrow, when they would automatically be converted.

If you are referencing submissions like that it's helpful to link to them and tag the submitter + moderator rather than everyone individual person who reads the thread having to go search them out themselves and then someone else tag the individuals. In the Barnet case it was @LBOW6 for example.

These 2 weeks are always super awkward because the Prem has finished for a couple of weeks so everyone wants to move on to next season, but other leagues haven't finished like Italy. You can't have separate rules for England and Italy a few days or weeks apart so we do one fixed date which is June 1st.

Maybe we could make it May 15th in future just to stop all this confusion but then you'll get people complaining it's too early in some cases.

Also last year Premier League finished on May 29th so June 1st so there wasn't so much confusion.

Thank you so much for the clarification 🙏 I was just wondering if a mistake had happened, but it all makes sense now (to me at least).
Thank you @Footygamer 💙

Technically yes, but it doesn't matter because other people did too and from tomorrow we'll do all transfers instantly anyway 🙂

Hi @Footygamer

last year y'all did “future transfer database”.  so do you mind do that again for more realism?

Footygamer

@Tarık Afacan Future transfer DB's are part of the official game now via “real world mode” but we can't get the data update working, if you'd like to help there's a beta version here: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/65593/real-world-mode-beta-testing

@Footygamer real world mode is unnecessary imo. what do you think about doing it for original mode like last year? i did a few changes on official database(e.g. permanent transfer for loaned out player with clauses) and it worked.
