How do I add the leagues into the game after they've been downloaded?
Giraldi Blondeau
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful database of Scottish leagues, I love it! Greetings from Spain, I am passionate about Scottish football.

Hi William, I have downloaded your real pyramid system and am looking to start a new save, however it seems the highland league cup is not included in game? The lowland league cup is included but not the highland. Do you know why this may be? Cheers
william nicol
I have checked my file and the highland league cup is def there, ties start about November.

Hi William, I can see it is added in the editor but when i start a save it is not in the game? Holiday'd a full season with Brechin and the cup didn't take place. Any ideas?

Hi William, I was an international student from the University of Aberdeen and now want to coach the University of Aberdeen football team. I have found it in FM2023 by using The (Real Life) Full Scottish Pyramid , where can I find it now if I want to coach UoA team in FM2024. Thanks.
Best wishes.

Hi William,
Thanks again for these. I am using the real file, and when I went in to apply promotions and relegations in the regional leagues, the editor gives an error when verfiying which is specific to the SPFL reserve league. It says 9 teams are required when only 8 exist, but there are 9 teams listed in the league.
It isn't anything I have adapted, as all I have actioned is things like swapping Arthurlie and Drumchapel.
Any idea why that might be the case?
I managed to get the file to verify by changing the minimum number of teams required from 9 to 8, but not sure what would have caused the issue or if changing to 8 will impact the save.
Thanks
william nicol
I have the same problem does work in the end just keep verifying the file will work , I have updated my real life version for the new season just waiting on a few updates for the development then will release it in a few weeks hopefully.

Hi William, spotted the notification of an update. Just wondering if both files are updated for 24/25 or just one or the other. Thanks for the time on this.
william nicol
Both updated for for this season.

Thanks for the reply mate! I followed a couple of YouTube videos on how to do it but didn’t have any luck. Do you have any advice or videos on how to do it? Would love to give a proper Scottish lower league save a bash before FM25

Hi is it possible to manage in the Caledonian amateur league? I downloaded the database but was only playable to WOS 4th division. Sorry if this has been answered or if I’ve downloaded it wrong first time downloading database onto football manager. Cheers 😃

Now that FM25 has been delayed, I have started to try to get as many transfers for lower level Scottish teams into the data update - https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update . So far, about 80% through the Lowland League and 40% through the WoS Premier. I know other update contributors have been doing bits and pieces too.
As it gets to lower levels, it is harder to find accurate squad lists etc. but just in case anyone else enjoys a lower league Scottish save and wants to help get it sorted, please think about updating the data update for any teams/leagues you follow.
I intend to do as many as I can across Lowland, and all four West of Scotland divisions. There are probably too many leagues for me to keep going, but thought to say in case anyone else is planning a realistic 24/25 save.

Lowland League and WoS Premier now done in terms of transfer data update. As you would expect, a good few current players not in the database, but other than one or two recent deals, Lowland and WoS Premier squads are now up to date as much as publicly available data lets them be.
Main issue may be the odd player still on a squad list that has left, but all possible incomings for both leagues should be covered.
Couple managers at WoS Premier not in the database anymore, so can't be included.

Highland League now done too, so next data update should have L1-L5 in Scotland well covered thanks to various other posters too. As above, some players/managers not in the database. Got as many transfers sorted as possible up to today. Will be some that slipped through the net.
Brechin would make a good save with the data update, as a lot of the players they have brought in are not in the database, so squad is very small even if strong favourites.
Strathspey…basically released a full squad and replaced with another, took longer to sort them than most of the others combined.
Just need to do a bit more digging on goalkeepers, as some clubs have four or five, which even accounting for some youth at Highland league level seems a bit high.
Intend to keep going to get as many transfers covered as possible at all levels of this database, but that will take a while, and lower I go, less players exist in the database.
Hope it helps any Highland league fans. Cheers
