New Data Update Feature: Transfers set as Future Transfers with Real World Date

Hello everyone,

is this feature working? I've download on the 5th January the data update, hoping that transers would be set just to the real time date, instead, they were done at the start of the save. Is it going to be fixed?

Seems so, I just downloaded it.

So I've used the date update many times and have never had any problems getting it to work. However I am trying to use the future Transfer Update and cannot get it to work. I have it selected as I always do but none of the future transfers are working in the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think they switched files. The file: real time transfers (which I prefer) are future transfers. And the file for future transfers is the file real time transfers.

I can confirm this has been fixed.

Can't seem to get it to work, installed it and applied to save for 23.4 but the transfers seem to have already happened, eg. Enzo Fernandez is already at Chelsea and Jorginho is already at Arsenal?

 

If you have any idea how to fix please help

there is something wrong at future transfers database. today i download the latest version to start a new save but its stock database. anyone can do anything about it? you can see the editor file there is no changes.

I noticed the same, I guess it is waiting till tomorrow's update

and there isn't today's update 

I've been receiving a number of requests to add a new feature to the Data Update which will allow an optional alternative update in which all transfers are set as future transfers with the real date the transfer occurred.

 

This means that if Paul Pogba joins Real Madrid on January 17th the update will leave Paul Pogba at Man Utd but with a Future Transfer dated January 17th 2022 rather than instantly changing his team to Real Madrid.

 

This will be an optional alternative data update that will not affect the main Data Update.

 

Todo List

In order for this to happen the following changes need to be made.

 

• We are going to add “Date Joined” and “Last Contract Signed” fields to the Data Update Submission form that will be required to be filled, this is what will be used to set the future transfer date.

 

Issues that need resolving

The following potential issues will need investigating and this feature will not be released unless they can be resolved:

 

• It is not possible to future date contracts, so if Pogba or Mbappe sign new contracts it means they won't be expiring at the end of the season, which is obviously a big deal which affects gameplay. Should we still update contracts but future date transfers?
• If a team spends £200m in January but the game only gives them a budget of £40m then they may unrealistically become bankrupt. Should we increase a team's budget, or just let it play out? We could reset a teams budget to -1 which means the game will automatically generate one.
• We cannot future date loans, so if a player joins another team on loan in January it will not be possible to add this loan accurately.
• We cannot set a loan back with a future transfer, so if a player moves club in January and part of the deal includes a loan back, we will not be able to represent this in game.

 

Feature Status In Progress

At present it is unlikely this feature will be released until solutions to the above issues are resolved.
