Random Jukebox's SAF - PLEASE DELETE!!!

A very frustrating pre season. Its proven nearly impossible for me to bring domestic players in with my budget of £0 and wage of only £16k. So ive had to go foreign. Struggled alot for a CB but eventually found enough cover. Below are my highlights:




I wont lie i am really fearing for this season. Barely had time for friendlies let alone for team bonding. My aim for the end of this season is to be at a much stronger SPL side. Well thats get this long hard season started....

Well done on Manager of the Year, I lost out to the Morton manager somehow!

Awful, Truly Awful. THis may be the worst start to a season i have ever had. The drubbings at the hands of St Mirren and Queen of the South have me seriously worried and then i received this...



The team below me but a bigger club, that ive always liked and a 3 year deal to build a foundation... but what did i do?

So welcome to Dundee! First things first let me explain my decision to leave Morton. The main reason if i am honest was a blind panic at the truly awful team that i had constructed in haste with looming fixtures and failing finances. I could of stayed and kept them up but it would be a good 3 seasons before id have been even ready for a cup run.

Secondly i felt moving to a slightly more established club with a few fierce SPL rivals would aid me financially in my quest to build a strong scottish club. Yes, you heard me, im planning to WIN THE SPL with this side.

Lastly, i do have abit of a soft spot for them, i know thats strange but its one of the few SPL sides i actually like and i think that counts for alot!.

Right back to the game....

The squad itself isnt actually too bad, just missing a few key areas. Mainly GK and CB. Unfortunatly i had 2 days left of the transfer window so i had to add old.

I present to you the BEAST Brian Jensen and former Irish international Damien Delaney.





Even at there ages they are still good players.

Dundee are 14 games without a win too, so my first game being a Dundee Derby and a trip to Morton... so how did i do?


Solid, really solid. And something else thats interesting.... Celtic were knocked out of the League Cup by Hearts. Could i achieve safety and silverware? Watch this space...

You planning a long stay here?? Or any particular long-term goals?

Cheers man, yeah im planning on making them my SPL conquering team. Long term i want to win the SPL, Scottish cup, League Cup and Europa before i move south!

Also a little note, i will be coming back to this shortly,im working on a game myself for a small indie company and its had to find FM time atm

A really solid few months here at Dundee have quickly dispelled my worries after taking the job, the cup runs are a particular area of hope as i believe Celtic are already out of the league cup and so my hope for silverware at Dens Park has increased!




Its been a good month since ive played this so please excuse me if the first couple of posts back are short and disjointed, im just getting through my backlog of screenshots and progress and will add more detail when im back to present time!

Also, just a note about this career. As quite a few of you have began to realise its exetremly difficult to maintain motivation here in scotland (Ricks adventure to Latvia being evidence!) so although i plan for this to maintain SAF challenge rules, i may run off to different places if i get bored. Because i do genuinely love this save and so would like to stick with it! anyway, no one has come close to an SPL yet, perhaps its my time

Another good month. Crucial wins against struggling Aberdeen and my old club Morton have me sat comfortably in 5th heading into January.




So thats me caught up! Now its time for me to play around with the squad the best i can. Im looking to really set myself up for next season and start bringing through young Scottish players!

Good month mate, aside from the derby defeat, reckon you can qualify for the Europa league?

Cheers dude. I think i stand a good chance, if not in the league then def in the cup. Have a semi final against Hearts n then a final against either St Mirren n Motherwell i think so its winnable.

Ive completly fallen out of love with this mainly due to me doing so poorly in the transfer market with morton and perhaps leaving them prematurely. i have really enjoyed my time in scotland though and plan to do a new career there shortly. thank you to all those who have followed this and to rick for his fantastic challenge!
