i played 4 seasons now, but i dont think i can play on. there is some stuff happening that completely ruins the game:

  1. i just won promotion and at the end of the season the morale of the whole team was excellent. the team returns from the holiday and the morale has completely dropped to only “ok”. what? many players signed drastically improved contracts and we play a league higher and suddenly theres not a single happy player anymore?
  2. i gave an ESC spot to a player who just signed a new contract with a wage 5 times higher than before, it said the player has ESC permission and will be looked at in a year for a regular permission. but 4 weeks later the ESC has disappeared and the player cannot play coz he got no work permission. but he as a huge wage now.
  3. a 23-year old winger had accleration 14 and speed 13, but for no obvious reason after the holiday only has acc 13 and speed 12. how can a healthy player at 23 just lose speed? if anything he´s supposed to get faster at this age.
  4. i have the settings that i want to deal with loans for youth players myself, but other people at the club always decline or accept loans and i have no chance to take care of loans. i had just promised to a young player i will loan him out, loan offers came in, all were rejected by the youth director. the player says i broke my promise and doesnt want to work with me anymore. thank you very much.
  5. players hardly improve. in the 4 seasons i played now i worked with a lot of young talents and have the best assistant coaches possible. but players only improve ever so slightly if at all. a player at the age of 18 or 19 is supposed to improve quickly if given game time, at least some of them. but none of the talents makes a jump in development, they all stagnate. i cannot imagine thats done to my skills. if you have 10 young promising talents and play them regularly and the team plays well and wins a lot of games but not a single player really ever improves significantly.

i play with Leyton Orient on an extremely tight budget and everything i do must be so spot on to get forward but the game itself is not at that level that is being asked of myself.  that is very sad. i wanted to bring Leyton to the top, but i dont think i can go on from here

  1. Maybe they're afraid in comparison with better players in a better league they're going to look bad. They were top of the league and now they look like a bunch of future relegated. Besides if I was on holiday with my gf and now I have to train again, I would be pissed off too.
  2. Bureaucratic shit just happens in real life and it's a funny part of the game learn how to deal with it (see Dani Olmo inscription drama)
  3. Dynamic improvement gives kind of realism, the evolution curve of real players is not always a straight line upwards. See Dembelé from Dortmund to Barça and then PSG, or Balotelli's career. Just give him time.
  4. That's an easy one: just click on Employees > Responsibilities and take care of every loan and transfer decision from youth teams.
  5. I had a 19-year-old substitute right full back to whom I didn't pay much attention and that he played from time to time and suddenly the next time I compared him to my other players, he was not only the best center back on my team, but the best in the world.

I played with Hércules (H. Alicante) and promoted from 3rd division to 2nd (year 1), from 2nd to 1st (year 2), permanence (year 3), Conference League (year 4), Europa League (year 5) and Champions League (year 6). For me, the game is so easy that gets boring after ten seasons. I won 6 consecutive trebles with Valencia. In 24 seasons I have as many Champions League titles as Real Madrid. This game needs time, I have more than 7k hours on it and tried so many tactics that finally found a exploit.

thanks for your reply. i can see where you´re coming from, though i dont think the problems i posted mirror reality.

 on

  1. i think first and foremost players would look forward to the new challenge, thats why everyone wants to win promotion in the first place
  2. Dani Olmo couldnt be registered coz Barca´s finances are a real mess. but what i had in the game was a bug. the ESC spot ended on 30.6.2027 when it was supposed to end on 30.6.2028. the player is an important one, so its hard to not have him available due to a bug in the game. and i still have to pay his high wage but cant play him.
  3. Demebele had problems with his attitude, if sth like this occured in the game, no problem. though i understand development is not a straight curve, i dont think its realistic for a 23 year-old to lose physical strength and speed. at 23 a body is at its best power, ive never heard of a young player who just got a lot slower without any realy reason like a big injury
  4. thats not an easy one, coz i said i already have the settings like that, but it is just ignored by the  game. according to the settings it should be my responsibilty, but other people at the club (fe the academy director) take actions about loan offers instead
  5. thats a tough one to talk about, as it is not a bug or sth. i just feel on average players should develop a lot more, like i would like to see some stats (esp mental and technical ones) go from f.e. 9 up to 13 over 2 seaons or so. but the attributes of players hardly change over a couple of seasons, maybe some attributes gain 1 or 2 points over 2 seasons, but not more. i have some players at the club who after 3 seasons have pretty much the exact same attributes as 3 years before.

anyway, thanks for answering, cheers
