25/26 promotions and relegations

Can anyone help me with updating relegations and promotions as well as using this data update for the new season?

Keeping updated is the point of a data update… 

Hi, I know about the editor before the game to adjust promotions but it won't let me do that as well as use sortitoutsi's data pack, I want to know if there is a way to use the data pack and play the leagues promotions and relegations from a 25/26 stand point.

Essentially I just want to start a save with everything updated for next season 🙂 

Maybe wait until early next week, last PO final is tomorrow in England for example, so update some point next week?

Staff team are in the process of collating as many of the major/playable nations with updates to reflect 2025/26 as we can. As others have mentioned, seasons around Europe are very much just finished or just about to finish.

In the coming days, those updates to nations will start to get integrated into the Data Update. My recommendation is to hang on versus try to make those changes yourself.

May be more specific… an error message? We can't possibly understand what “it won't let me do that” means. 

People do use a few data updates or custom database together… Anyway, looks like you aren't really interested in solving the issue, so never mind then.

For some countries, the football season is yet to wrap up. For example, English National League Promotion Play-offs Final will be playing today… 

@TheMinsterman commented a few days ago saying the files will be updated after the NL play off final, which happened today. I'm not sure if it will be available at the next refresh or if it will come out a few days after today.

It’s not that I don’t want to solve the issue, there is no issue.

The comments have helped me in telling me that all games for the country must complete before the leagues are updated.

Don’t understand the hostility for not being experienced using data packs. I was asking for help on a forum, not saying there was an issue with this site or its content, this site keeps FM alive for me.

The issue is… when you tried using the editor to update promotions/relegations and “it won't let me do that”, as you said. Looks like you misunderstood from here…

You didn't mention any more about “adjust promotions but it won't let me do that” in the reply, and seem to focus on waiting for the data update to update promotion/relegation. So, assumed that you're not interested in trying the editor any further… so I said “never mind” and just left you there.

This is to explain that the data update here and anything customized by users (e.g. promotions/relegations, or transfers done by editor) can work together, as many people have done that… always. 

So, it's used to support that “…it won't let me do that” can be solved, and things can work. If you need help, please provide more information. However, as mentioned above, since you aren't too interested in pursuing a solution in using the editor, so case closed.

The line is purely a background information for supporting, which doesn't have a bit about you in the context. In addition, I don't know how experienced you're anyway. Last but not least, does experience matter in this case? 

Moreover, in the first line in my reply, I asked you for more information, e.g. error message, trying to figure out what happen to “it won't let me do that” when using the editor to update promotions/relegations. 

Then, I suddenly insulted (or whatever) on your experience in using data pack (as you claimed) in the next line? 

Lastly, the tone dramatically changed again: I provided information in the last line, explaining the season hasn't finished yet…

I suggested using the editor to make changes as an alternative solution, so you don't have to wait for the data update. Then, tried to follow up with “it won't let me do that” when you're using the editor…

If anything not clear, or upset you, please bring it out… happy to discuss and sort out everything. 

Anyway, if you're interested in using the pre-game editor to update promotion/relegation any time, then please be specific about what “it won't let me do that” means, e.g. error message. 

Anyone else downloaded the updates but all Spanish teams are the same as last season (ie, Leganes and Valladolid still in La Liga) ?

Which of the editor data files updates promotions & relegation's please? I'd like to make some changes myself.
