Hi Guys,

Is there a way to remove transfer embargos or are they hardcoded into the game? I'm trying to start a save with Cardiff but they still have it set up under embargo

This should be possible. Transfer embargoes are configured in the ‘Club’ Finances section in the Pre-Game Editor. I think, in the past, changes to these settings have been out-of-scope for the updates provided.

I will flag this with the staff team and see what the best way to integrate this into the update is. Priority for right now will remain getting league promotions/relegations sorted, though.

@Footygamer I have found an error when starting a new save, it says that man utd is neither in the UCL nor the UEFA Europa Conference League nor the UEFA league, but as you can see in the picture I have attached, they are in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Hi

Is there anyone who has found out how to change the calendar of the game so that we can change the startdate to season 25/26?

Footygamer

@Doddo04 no it's not impossible. It would require someone to modify the fm.exe/fm.app which would take months of full time work I imagine.

Ryan Alt Nouri was transferred yesterday on the same day he was announced by Man City, we can't be any quicker than “the same day”.

You generally have to wait 12-24 hours till the next day for it to be updated, it clearly states on the download page when the data update file was last built.

You have to start in the 23/24 season, it is not possible to start in the 24/25 or 25/26 season.

Larsen not having a history of being at Wolves is because we haven't added histories yet for the 24/25 season yet, only 23/24. The current seasons are still finishing, you can no doubt imagine how long it takes to add Appearances, Goals, Assists etc for 600,000 players. Please be realistic in how quickly we can do these things.

Good man i am not ungrateful, im sorry if it sounded like that.
So there is no current roster data update avaible until the season ends everywere? Just wondering as i want to start a new save 🙂 I can wait im not unpatient, just spoiled because you were always keeping current squads updated on daily basis (i understand the magnitude having skipped an FM and having to do everything so not complaining)

@The Coon by “roster” I assume you mean the squads, this is updated every single day and has been for the past 10 years 🙂

If you mean the teams assigned to the league after promotions and relegations, we are updating gradually as each league finishes, for example we can't do Denmark yet because there are still games left to play, but we have done England because all the leagues have finished.

Scotland will be released this weekend. I am just finalising things all the way down that pyramid.

Cannot personally comment on Austria, but as a group we will get to it ASAP.

When will promotions and relegations for Serbia be released?

Serbia has been created, internally, so just needs to be peer-reviewed and integrated into the update.

Therefore, I would say ‘any day now’.

Are you no longer updating the transfers from Brazil? It is out of date and until last week it was updated, but now it is no longer updated, what happened?

Transfers included in the Data Update are primarily as a result of those that are submitted by the community. Anything submitted by the community and then approved is automatically included in the Data Update.

Looking at Brazil (https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/nation/1651), I can see plenty of activity related to players in Brazil on a continuous basis. If there are specific transfers that haven't been submitted, it would be a great help if you can submit them via https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/contribute. They can then be approved and included.

I'll give you an example o Nonato who is playing for Fluminense, is still at Santos in this latest update. Until last week he was at Fluminense but I don't understand why There are more players who are no longer at Santos. And in today's update, they returned to Santos. Do you understand?

Brazil still hasn't updated, today's update 06/19 Brazil is still out of date...

OK, so I think (using Nonato as an example) I can explain what the situation is here.

Nonato had a loan to Fluminense (from Santos) configured to expire on 30/06/2025. I appreciate Brazil is a league system that runs from March-December each year (approximately); which differs from the typical European cycle (August-May).

Even though the ‘official’ cutover date for transfers in and around Europe is around 30/06/2025, a decision was taken to ‘process’ that cutover on 01/06/2025. Most people are keen to play with updated squads as soon as possible, even if - strictly - they haven't been finalised (contractually) in real-life. This decision, essentially, brings forward the processing of pre-agreed summer transfers and, also, terminates loans scheduled to end around that time.

Nonato is a good example of a player that would've been affected by that ‘early processing’. So on 01/06/2025, I think Nonato's loan would have been terminated, returning him to Santos. In real-life, he's still on loan until 30/06/2025, but in the Data Update his return is reflected from 01/06/2025.

I think this explains the discrepancy and I think this is a ‘unique’ case for Brazil (and other similar nations). I am not sure what the best way to handle this is - of course, at this stage, what is left of Nonato's loan is only a matter of a few weeks…but I appreciate it is technically incorrect at this moment in time that he shows as ‘returned’ to Santos. @Footygamer - sorry to tag you, any thoughts?

Thanks for the report @Wendfero can you confirm that the data update does reflect Santos as they will be in 2 weeks, it's just feels a bit strange that it has happened 2 weeks early? Or is there some greater issue? If it's just 2 weeks early then I think that's generally okay, you can always download updates from May 31st which may work better when managing in Brazil.

If there is a bigger issue can please try and explain in more detail.

Hi why are the players their current age now in 2023?

Hi why are the players their current age now in 2023?

This is by design, as the general goal of the Data Update is to reflect the footballing world ‘as it is now’ from the start of a new game.

Therefore, whilst it isn’t possible to alter the actual start date to 2025, offsetting everything by (now) two years achieves this goal. In addition to player ages being adjusted, contract lengths are also adjusted so the relative number of years matches real-life (so a two-year contract starting in 2025 will be a two-year contract starting in 2023 in the game).

There are some other players who have returned to Santos and are on loan... but it must be the same case as Nonato that you explained to me. Thank you very much for responding.
