Hello, is it possible to download the update wihtout all those new players? I am not using th New Players.fmf  but they are all on the Changes.fmf file.

a layman question for the more seasoned data update veterans, as i mostly dabble with graphics.

when i search for portraits, i often find announcements that people have joined a club in a certain capacity (mostly staff). said people used to be in the database, so technically aren't »new« (they have been removed at some point between fm 16 to fm 23, so they are listed on sortitoutsi).

what is the best way to approach adding them, is a data update possible as with regular fm 24 entries (haven't tried it yet), or should a request for them to be (re)added to the db be made in a specific thread (like this one)? thanks!

Why is the birthdate of Nathan De Cat(19 07 2008) en Nunzio Engwanda (1 12 2007) (RSC Anderlecht) wrong in the database when I start a new carreer?

Just downloaded the latest update (Classic FM) to see if it fixes the issue, but there are two Qua(t)trocchi's at Juventus.  The one with one ‘t’ is the original but is spelled wrong in the unmodified 24.3.0 db, the one with two ‘t’s is added by the update.  I think the fix is to alter the original player's name and delete the new player.  I would try to do this myself but I'm not confident with the editor really.  If you have the face pack installed you can see original (mispelled) Quatrocchi has a face but new (correctly spelled) Quattrocchi doesn't - I'm guessing because of the unique ID, hence my suggestion to delete the new player rather than the old one, so the two things are kept in sync.

Thomas Frank is but I don't know about his staff.

In general, for anyone not aware, the transfer update on this site is updated once-per-day as standard. On the download page, the ‘Release Date’ gives an exact timestamp.

The transfers that go into it are very much a community-driven effort - supplemented by some automated ones. Moderators approve submissions on a continuous basis.

For anyone who wants to know whether a specific person is updated, the best advice I can give is to look them up on the site. There, you’ll see the status of any transfer submitted and if it shows as approved, you can see the timestamp of that approval. It’s simple to do and it will give you an immediate answer - whilst waiting for a forum reply may take some time.

If that timestamp is earlier than the ‘Release Date’ on the download page, that transfer is included.

If anyone has a specific transfer that isn’t completed, we encourage everyone to contribute and submit it - as those submissions are the lifeblood of this update.

Is there a way to set transfer listed players before the game starts?

Having loaded up a new game, it’s quite frustrating to see AI managers list players such a Curtis Jone’s, Jacob Ramsey, & Marcus Tavernier that will more than likely be at their club next season. Also, it would be good to see players like Rashford, Sterling, Chilwell etc listed from the start. Wasn’t sure if there‘s a way to set this status in advance?

Can somebody add Daniel Isichei to the list of current Birmingham City players please?

It would be great if you would be able to do this yourself, via the Add New Youth Player button on Birmingham City's page at https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/team/609.

The form you will be prompted to fill in will guide you through entering all the relevant information and that submission will then be moderated by the staff and, if approved, he will become part of the Data Update.

Hi, is it possible to edit the height and weight when creating new players? 

This is not possible at the moment - I would say that we are currently on version 1 of the new player submissions.

I know the site admin will be keen to improve it in whichever ways make sense - and if these details are ones that can be exposed to the community to input them (perhaps as optional fields) then I could see the value in that.

One thing to note, however, is that any extra information also brings with it an increased amount of effort for moderation (that is, it is one more thing that needs checking for accuracy). That being said, I don’t disagree in principle that it would increase the quality of submitted players to have these details included.

I‘m sure you can appreciate the priority in the last 4-6 weeks has been preparing the 2025/26 changes to various files (and there still is some work to do), but I’ll pose the question internally and perhaps this can be added to the roadmap.
