I've been paying 10 pounds a year for yeeeeeeaaaaaars for access to this site, why isn't the “best” version of the Data Update available for premium subscribers to download?  Seems unappreciated.

You don’t make much sense, which is “the best” update

If you download the free version you get an email asking you to download this paid version.  It's literally on this site under FM24 data update.  Screenshot below.

Bielsa, maybe this wasnt clear. My question is why is there a paid version when we pay a subscription?  Is someone else able to answer this?  Thanks

Ultimately, I think that is a decision the Site Admin made - but the thread that introduces the paid version of the update may offer an insight: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/67235/introducing-project-classic-fm-the-biggest-update-for-fm24-and-a-long-goal-to-keep-the-old-generation-of-fm-alive

Those who contribute data submissions to the Data Update can also get the enhanced version for free as a thank you for contributing. That aside, it requires a purchase for £5 annually.

From my perspective, the Premium website membership is primarily about eliminating adverts, enabling faster/direct downloads and supporting the site in general. The enhanced Data Update is essentially a separate product. Naturally, the Premium membership concept has been around a lot longer and the enhanced data update is a relatively new thing. I just don’t see that the two have anything to do with each other. I believe the enhanced data update intends to ‘live on’ for FM 24 beyond the release of FM 25 - the website will then support FM 25 (and beyond) whilst the enhanced update, I think, will be maintained for FM 24 specifically.

Of course, you may disagree conceptually that it should be a separate product - that is a question that @Footygamer may want to address directly. I am just giving my perspective to try and give you my take on things.

M.C thank you, appreciate this response.  I was also unsure if the 5 pound fee was one-time or with each download, etc, so this cleared that up.  Wonder how the feedback has been from users compared to the free version, I'll check out your link.  Very much appreciate your response, thanks.
