Hi all, Ive just attempted to update FM24 using the new datebase. Ive unzipped the file and put it in the editor data file.
It lets me pick career mood and then says “you have selected a customer database….” etc
I choose Original Game mood and then Advanced Set up (quick mode is grayed out"
It moves to the Loading Database screen and the yellow bar moves across the top as though it is loading.
And then…nothing. The yellow bar gets to the right hand side of the screen and then it freezes. Ive left it for 30 minutes and still nothing.
The only way to come out of it is in task manager.
Is there any way I can get the game going?

I had the same issue - i had too many Dynamics files in the editor folder - you only need one of each type - once i sorted that out it was all good.

So you just delete most of them and only keep Dynamic x 1.fmf? lol

You just have to wait, it takes years with my PC Gen4 SSD .. so older PC gonna take years .. just wait and do not Alt+Tab

I'm still having this issue. Tried removing all folders, redownloaded and still have an issue. Any help would be great.

If you have installed all correctly and have only this and the real name fix (the most common things downloaded), be patient (I'll have more than 100 FMF files compatible each other, and they work. Obv, more changes more time needed for the game to start).
Try to not use the files in the folder “optional”. It will take less time.

So I have carried out all steps on the how to guide.
Removed and then redownloaded and extracted the ZIP files.
I have then started the game loaded the files - still stuck on loading game database, been stuck in this screen for 10 mins.
How much time does it need? never had these issue when using older version of the data unsure what has happened.

If you have an old pc, you have to wait longer than usual.
Remember, the Data update change: Transfers (from all world), CA-PA, Promotions and Relegations in various leagues, some new changes in some leagues (Turkish leagues for example)…

Okay - I shall leave it and see how long it takes - I've never had this issue before.
I'll let you know how long it takes to load the game database - Its a decent laptop I've got so don't think that would have been an issue.
