Dnt know if this right place but installed your update good work by way i noticed a duplication of will wright of liverpool

I’ve just taken care of this duplicate player. It was the result of multiple submissions from the community, not spotted during moderation.

From tomorrow’s update, I’d expect there to only be one of him. Thanks for flagging!

Is there any plan to update positions of players?

Could you add Wayne Rooney son, Kai?

Kai Rooney has been part of the Data Update since the start of August, having been added by the community.

You can always check to see which players have been created by browsing to the club in question and seeing if they are in the ‘New Youth Players’ list. In this case, Manchester United: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/team/680.

If they are not, you can then make a submission yourself to have that player created by clicking the ‘Add New Youth Player’ button and filling out the web form.

Is there an update without the new wonderkids? I use separate files that include player faces for such players like Max Dowman etc. Is there any option to remove those new created players???

The newly-created players are consolidated in the same main ‘Changes.fmf’ file that all of the transfers and contractual changes are held in; therefore, unfortunately, there is no separate version without them.

Creating a facepack for newly-created players is on the roadmap for the near future - the way those newly-created players are being included has been designed, specifically, to ensure they have consistent unique IDs which is what will enable a facepack to reliably work.

I've just deleted the created players on the editor file using the pre-game editor. Look forward to the facepack. I would suggest reaching out to FM Data Tweaks. They have a great wonderkid pack, with player faces including iconfaces.

Whilst I am sure they do, I don't think that is going to be the direction things will go in. I don't want to speak on behalf of the Site Owner, but I am pretty confident that the integration of a facepack for the newly-created players (on this site) will be done by enabling community contributions through the website, much like it works for the facepacks available for the default database of players.

As soon as that happens, I am sure the community will quickly populate any and all faces they are able and, dare I say it, as soon as that happens, the ever-growing scale and coverage of the SortItOutSI Data Update will quickly become the go-to for newly-generated players as well. I only say that because almost all of the feedback received has boiled down to the facepack. This community is responsible for a cut-out facepack that includes 498,000 images so I suspect submitting the additional ~20,000 for the newly-created players will happen quite fast.

Don't get me wrong - I am sure those other updates do a great job, but I believe the scale of players they introduce is a lot smaller…and the fact that I presume they do so by having a small team of people create everything (unlike here, where we have a community-driven approach, moderated by a small group of people) means the potential for this update to grow in scope is significant.

Given the number of newly-created players stands at close to 20,000 (and there are many new ones added daily), I'm sure you can appreciate that creating faces for all of them would be quite the operation, unless opened out to a wider group via contributions. I do also recognise the importance of having faces for newly-generated players - which is why everyone is free to choose whose creation they use, of course. For me, I prefer the coverage that this Data Update provides versus having less coverage but with existing faces.

That's fair enough. Really looking forward to what's next! Also, will the players ethnicity be updated? Currently all of the players are unknown players skins tone would be random.

As of a few weeks ago, the ability exists for the community to specify details related to the player's appearances - namely their Ethnicity, Skin Tone, Hair Colour, Hair Length, Height and Weight. These are all on the web form and are all optional fields. Some of the community - and staff - have begun the process of retrospectively populating these fields for already-created players, so I am hoping that will continue.

Of course, for more obscure youngsters this information is not always easily available, but it'll get populated as much as possible, hopefully. Going back through the existing submissions will also happen but will inevitably take time.

First of all, thank you for the work you guys do. I found some duplicate players going through my own photo library for missing faces. You might want to check as I'm not sure if they're duplicate because of this update or another mod. Most of them are in the lower European leagues.

I spot-checked our update for all of those that I could easily locate: I was not able to find a duplicate for any of them. Specifically, I looked up Tristan Panduro, Tyresse Noubissie, Chido Obi, Jorthy Mokio & Sander Alamaa.

For each of these players there is only one instance at their club. As such, I am highly confident that the presence of other update files with overlapping content is causing the duplications at your end.

Are there any plans for any of the following:

1. Change new players mental attributes (so not all 10)

2. Change players positions

3. Change players ability/potential?

Yeremay Hernandez, one of the best players of the Deportivo La Coruna team, is called Peke in the game, but the player uses it as Yeremay Hernández. 
Can you publish an fmf file with a name change like Diego Moreira in the database update?

i have one minor issue, the incoming transfers arent showing up (outgoing seem fine)

just me? is there a possible clash?

I hope that the first point is in the plans, if not can someone more skilled with editor say if there is any way to quickly change those mental and hidden attributes from 10 to 0 (random) for all of the new players?

Just to provide a viewpoint on these:

1. Yes - we have been discussing this internally and this is something that will be changed. Those mental attributes will get pivoted to be 0 by default, so adding a randomness to things (which I think is the best solution for all of these young, unknown players anyway).

2. This is quite an involved thing - it isn't something we can easily do at scale as it isn't exposed to the community for submissions. It is probably down to a staff member, or community member, to take it upon themselves and create a file that includes such changes. There's no doubting that it would be a great addition but it is hard to do at a global scale without a community effort.

3. This is already happening and updated CA/PA values, based on community submissions, are already part of the enhanced/paid Data Update.

I found a few duplicates when going through the la liga teams (ID's and names in attachment)

These ones typically occur due to clubs having B and C teams. Most typical duplicate is when one instance is assigned to the first team and one to a second or third team through the website. Unfortunately it is not as easy to ‘see’ the one that already exists in this case. Highly encourage all community contributors to check second and third team squads before submitting a new player for creation, wherever possible. Of course the moderation step should also become more mature over time and help us to avoid (temporarily) introducing the second instance, too. As moderators, we should always check the ‘Possible duplicates’ section as this can often prevent approving a player creation that already exists.

Thanks, I fixed three, but can't find Simon Garcia twice or Iker Quintero twice. It may be because of how Spanish Youth/B sides are named. I don't have FM open, only here. Will try to sort out. The other three were duplicated across First Team/B/Youth squads, and now resolved.
