The Sort It Out SI data update adds thousands of new wonderkids to Football Manager 2024, making your next save feel like a brand new game. We’re taking a look at how some of the most highly rated youngsters perform after being added.
Name: Nadson (Nadson Juan Maia da Silva de Souza)
Nationality: Brazilian
Age: 16
Position: Attacking Midfielder
Preferred Foot: Left
Personality: Fairly Determined
At the start of a new save, 16-year-old Nadson is at Santos (SAN) in Brazil. In our save, he didn’t immediately break through but gradually earned his place. After starting his career in 2023, he finally broke into the first team in 2028, making 31 appearances and scoring six goals that year.
Before breaking into the senior game, Nadson had already made his mark at the youth level. He was named Best Player in the 2023 Brazilian U20 Cup and the 2024 Brazilian U20 Championship, guiding his team to victory in each competition.
Later in 2028, Porto signed him for £15.75M. He stayed for two seasons, making a limited impact but collecting silverware as Porto won a domestic treble in 2029: the Portuguese Premier League, Portuguese Cup, and Portuguese Super Cup. His efforts were recognized with inclusion in FC Porto’s Seasonal Best Eleven.
In 2030, Nadson was bought by PSV Eindhoven for £37M. This was where his talent blossomed. He was named in the PSV Seasonal Best Eleven and voted Supporters’ Player of the Year two years in a row. He lifted the Dutch Cup in 2030, and across his two seasons in the Netherlands, he registered 51 appearances and 11 goals.
His rise continued with a move to Manchester United in 2031 for £60M. He became a valuable squad member in our save, earning Seasonal Best Eleven honors in 2033, 2034, and 2037. He added European silverware too, winning the UEFA Europa League in 2034 and 2038, and lifting the European/South American Club Challenge in 2034. He was instrumental in the 2033/34 campaign, to which he showed his finest, with 31 appearances and an average rating of 7.15. Despite that, he had only managed to play 107 games in a 7-year spell, averaging 15 games a season.
In 2035, Nadson was sent on loan to SL Benfica for only £230K, a sign he had not fully convinced his parent club. He made 14 appearances and scored five goals, even earning a place in Benfica’s Seasonal Best Eleven, but the move highlighted doubts about his ability to establish himself at the highest level.
Failing to impress after his return from loan, Manchester United released him, and he moved on a free transfer to Al-Shabab in 2038, where the fans immediately embraced him, winning the Supporters’ Player of the Year award in 2038/39. He has completed three full seasons with Al-Shabab so far.
Nadson enjoyed a career that took him from Brazil to Portugal, the Netherlands, England, and beyond, making over 300 appearances and earning multiple individual and seasonal honors with seven titles to his name.
