FM24 Player and Staff Updates

Sorry but i don't know where to say it so i will say it here.

I submitted what I think is a more accurate version pf the CA and PA for Universitatea Craiova with their qualification for the Conference League and with their lead in the Romanian League. I think they overall deserve an upgrade. 
 

I don't expect all ratings to get approved and then updated but I think at the core what I have submitted pictures better how the team is going and what players are the key of it.

 In goal Isenko has been incredible being the reason why Craiova even got the chance to play against Basaksehir, saving them countless times. 
In defence Romanchuk was the best defender out of the 3 in the 3-5-2 formation, while Stevanovic hasn't been as good so far and i find it very inaccurate how he has a better CA than Romanchuk a player which is better and also Romanchuk was one of the best defenders in the Ukrainian league last season and you can see on the pitch his quality.

In midfield there's nothing to say tbh just that they all have been very good even tho I don't think Alexandru Crețu is as good as Alexandru Cicâldău or Tudor Băluță. 

In attack, Assad Al-Hamlawi has been exceeding expectations and is way better than 86 CA while Nsimba can also use an upgrade but I don't view him as necessarily better or worse than Assad they are just 2 strikers with very different play styles. 

Baiaram could use an upgrade in potential especially with his call up for the Romanian National team and being known as the most in form player in his position out of all Romanian players.

Just a quick question regarding the database. I've not downloaded it for a while and the last set of updates I had were used in conjunction with a file that added a year to each players age and another file that reduced the contracts by a year. Do I still need to use those files or have players ages and contracts been updated in the update? Apologies if this has been asked before.

The SortItOutSI Data Update contains files that do this same contract and ages ‘offset’. Since June 2025, we have rolled that up to a 2-year offset. In the Data Update, you'll find a file named ‘sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - +2 Age and Contract Years.fmf’ and enabling that will result in that offset.

If the files you mention that you were previously using are part of a different update, I would recommend not also using them. In general, if you are returning to the update after a while away, I'd recommend clearing your ‘Editor Data’ folder (maybe move the files you have in there out, rather than delete) and start with a clean installation of the Data Update.

Great work with the latest update

i have a problem with the contract dates of some new signings, as can be seen from the screenie attached, the newly signed players contracts seem to expire very quickly, any ideas what is causing this

I started a save with watford and my entire squad are on 1 or 2 year deals with contract end dates in 2024 and 2025. Some of these are new signings on 5 year contracts. Is there anyway to fix this?

Please take a look a little further up this thread. Someone flagged the same issue - my reply points to another thread where I explain the issue in detail and provide some workarounds. It is a known issue and will be resolved from tomorrow’s daily update onwards. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi guys, 

Benson Mangolo (Botswana) is now at Richards Bay FC in South Africa. Currently plays for Security Systems on the game. The editor doesn't allow me to access his profile for editing. 

Same with Abdoulaye Mariko (Mali) who has moved to Orlando Pirates in South Africa. Currently playing at Djoliba on the game, but doesn't allow me to edit his club. 

Both are confirmed on Transfermarkt. 

Hi, Kounde‘s contract from Barcelona expires in 2030. Its enabled but in the update file its 2028. can you solved this? Thank you

All contracts (and player ages) are offset by two years. All players are two years older and their contracts expire two years earlier than the real-life date. This is not a mistake and is deliberate.

This is to simulate the passing of two years in real-life since the game was released. Effectively, in-game in June 2023, the footballing world is represented as it was in real-life in June 2025. Conceptually, what this does is means that Kounde has 5 years left on his contract with Barcelona in-game. In the same way that from this real-life season, Kounde has five years left on his contract with Barcelona.

Hey guys, I downloaded today's data update and even tho it shows Kostoulas is in Brighton, in game he Is not. Is it only like this for me (which means I have something done wrong) or has it happened to anyone else?

Mangolo wasn't in FM24, but was in FM23, so he would need to be submitted as a new player. For Mariko, it looks like he does exist at Orlando Pirates but is loaned to Chippa. He has also been added as a new player at Djoliba. 

I don't have a save loaded with S. Africa active. Can you check that Mariko isn't at Chippa? If he is, I can disable his loan and delete the duplicate new player.

Hi the load order issue that were happening a few days ago seem to be still bugging out on my game when I load the data changes file it still changes the file order ive fixed it by going into the editor and re saving it without the dash and it fixes it it's a pain anyone else's game still doing it 😀 

It is deliberate that the ‘Changes’ file is near the start of the load order. The issue, a few days ago, was that another file (the ‘+2 Age and Contract Years’ file) was not also brought to the front.

If you install the Data Update in its entirety, you should end up with the +2 Age and Contract Years file first in the order and the ‘Changes’ file second. This is the correct order and will result in everything working just fine. When we fixed it, we did not revert the ‘Changes’ file to be down in the middle of the order. We simply brought the +2 file up the very front. Again, this is deliberate/expected and planned…and does work. Crucially, this order is what enables new player UIDs to be consistent and, thus, support facepacks for those newly-created players.

I would strongly recommend you do not re-save the files under different names. If a standard install is resulting in you having problems, please share the details of what those problems are and we can help troubleshoot. Data Update content has been thoroughly tested and I can say with a high degree of confidence there is no issue with the load order we currently have.

That's cool I dont have the 2 year file loaded so thats probably my issue my changes file is always in the  middle if I load the 2 year file it should work then thank you for getting back to me long live fm 😀

I think there is a problem with some players who have just been transferred like in LOSC where some players like Özer, Broholm, Igamane and others have attributes / potentials well below than their real level which makes the level of the team much weaker.

How can I make sure that this order will be in-game when I add other files like leagues expansions etc?

Well, there is no guarantee, strictly-speaking - but by prefixing the relevant files with an underscore they are extremely likely to stay first in the list. The primary reason it has been done is to preserve their load order relative to other custom editor data.

In terms of gameplay functionality, the load order is mostly not important. In the SortItOutSI Data Update, it is important that the ‘+2 Age and Contract Years’ file comes before the ‘Changes’ file. Aside from that, the order of the files overall is fairly interchangeable.

However, to support graphics appearing reliably, the key thing is for the ‘Changes’ file to be the first file on the list that adds any new Person records. In the SortItOutSI Data Update, it is the only file that adds any Person records - so in isolation, the Data Update is fine.

Other popular add-ons (like the Real Name Fix, for example) add new Person records. Other creators' custom databases may also add new Person records. As long as those are after the ‘Changes’ file in the in-game list, the newly-created player facepacks (which are now being worked on) will work reliably.

There's a player in serie A , named Edoardo Bove , that due to his medical conditions , is not allowed to play for Roma even though he has a contract until 2028 . Is it possible to update his status by submitting a modification to the database ? if so what kind of submission should i make ?

Hi, is it possible to get James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Radu Dragusin's injuries updated? Maddison more or less out for this season, Kulusevski out until the new year, and Dragusin out probably for a couple more months.
