Missing young players from base game to 24.3.0

so i guess this has most probably been covered before but i am unable to find the information through searches and ive only recently come back to fm so i have missed the last couple of years so this is a new problem for me

 

in the original version of this game there are players missing from the the 24.3.0 update for example 18 year old Braiden Graham who plays for everton as well as many others

 

i have the paid update but he still does not show in the game and hasnt done in any of the data updates i have used over the last month or so, so i dont believe its to do with the new load order

 

have these missing players not been added to the data updates or am i missing somthing?

If you have purchased the game and it is fully up to date, it may be that he was added later in the development cycle, because the player you mention is in the database:

Given he is in the database, he doesn't need added again. If not appearing in your save, I am not sure what is going on, as in theory, his profile has nothing to do with the data update we release, unless you are only loading the base database and not the most recent SI one that would automatically be available in your game if all updated. 

 

For players like this that were likely added in SI's January/February update after game release, he will only appear if using the latest SI database when you load a new game and not the original base one.

i have purchased the game from steam so should be fully up to date as well as purchasing the the Enhanced Data Update

 

if i load up the editor he is in the original football manager 2024 database

 

but if i load up the Official 24.3.0 update data base he is not there, i have tried loading the changes.fmf in the editor aswell and he still does not show up

 

as far as i can tell ive done everything correct

Braiden Graham, as the example case, was actually last in the official Football Manager 24.0 database. Of course his removal from the 24.3 database is down to Sports Interactive and has nothing to do with this site, as such.

 

He appears searchable on the site because the site catalogues players from historical versions of the database, too. You'll notice that if you try to edit his details (to make a submission of a transfer/contract, for example), you'll be presented with confirmation that he is not in the 24.3 database.

 

He is a good example of a player who has not had a newly-created player submitted at this time. So, effectively, that explains his absence when starting a game using the 24.3 database - whether with our Data Update, or without it.

 

From a UI perspective, I can understand why it may be confusing - because he is discoverable via search, the assumption people will have is that he's in the official 24.3 database. Seeing that, they won't submit him as a creation.

 

The right action to get him into the game is for someone to submit him as a newly-created player. Once approved, he'll appear via the Data Update file like all the others.

i suspected that might have been the case and that makes total sense as to why i can not find him
