Facepack for Players added in the Data Update is now live!

The facepack for new players added to the data update is now live and visible on both the cut out faces page and data update page 

It should be automatically updated everyday and there are currently no plans to offer incremental changes files, it will just be the whole pack in one go.

Hi @Footygamer is this part of the main pack or A separate pack as I can’t see it on the cut out face page

how to edit these players on pre game editor?

Hello, I would like some help with the faces of the young new players, should I unpack them into a face file or should I use this existing file to keep them in the face file? I have a problem because it's not loading some of the young player faces, so that's why I'm asking, thanks.

exactly the same ID on the player profile but there is no picture or black shadow in the game

There aren't enough pictures for young players, but there are pictures for young players in the database.

Downloaded the facepack for young players again and again the same situation, durdov has no picture and in the database for young players I find a picture and the same profile picture ID????  here is an example for omeragic

You don't need to take more photographs just explain in worlds the situation.

@RT7 the issue above seems to be caused by your uploads.

It looks like you've been uploading lots of player faces that are actually webp not png even if they have png as an extension. Can you please make sure you upload in the right format.

Can you also tell me where you're getting the faces from that's causing this? Are you downloading them from somewhere else on this site or from another website?

Hi @Footygamer , you should ask @lost3  about this, since he crops the image. I only uploaded it.

@Footygamer  I've been looking into it. Doesn't it depend on how people download this image from this website? If I click on the image and then save it, it becomes a WEBP file, but if you download it using the download button in the top right corner, it becomes a regular PNG file.

@RT7 yes you are right that's why I asked where the images where coming from

If the process is

(1) Download image from randomfootballwebsite.com 
(2) Crop in Photoshop

(3) Save

(4) Upload

Then that means randomfootballwebsite.com is showing webp images and there's nothing we can do about it and person downloading from there just has to be careful to convert them.

But I wondered if the images are being posted on Sort It Out SI somewhere, maybe in a forum post or a private message and then being downloaded in which case we need to instruct whoever is downloading them to download the correct way or change the UI to make it easier.

What's confused me is that as far as I can tell there is no history of this happening in the past its only just suddenly happened now with your submissions from this month. So something has changed or is different and i'd like to understand what to make sure it doesn't happen in future.

So you're saying that @lost3 is doing the downloading and we have to ask him because you have no idea where the images are coming from? Why does lost3 send them to you for uploading?

When I download the players you specified using the download button, I get them all as PNG files.

Both when I download them individually and as a pack.

I always send the image to @lost3 in PNG format. And I get them back as PNGs, so that can't be the problem.

@RT7 They have .png in the name but they are actually webp. Just because the extension says .png doesn't mean it actually is png.

Are you on Mac or Windows?

Can you walk me through the process because right now I don't understand and have no way of figuring it out for myself.

1. You find the Robinho Jr photo online e.g. on his Twitter

2. You save it from Twitter to your computer

3. You create a zip of lots of images

4. You upload the zip somewhere

5. lost3 downloads the zip

6. lost3 edits the images

7. lost3 sends you the new zip

8. You upload the zip to the submission system

In that example scenario the image is never being downloaded from anywhere other than Twitter and the different download buttons on this website don't matter.

But i'm guessing my example is wrong and that's not what's happening so can you please explain what is happening?

All the images (of new players in the database) that @RT7  posts on the forum are obtained from @RT7  and processed by me. It's true that some were labeled as png when they were actually wepb. I always try to convert them from wepb to jpg. I cut the images in Photopea, which converts them to png after cutting. I'm 99% sure I didn't make any mistakes with these photos. I have all the photos from @RT7  saved on my hard drive (just in case).

@lost3 can you double check Robinho Jr 2002086544 ?

@Footygamer  Robinho Jr. is a bad example because he comes straight from the Mega map. Someone else created this one.

@RT7 what does “mega map” mean?

And if you see above I gave 60 different examples 

I checked and I don't have it on my disk. It's the same as any other incorrectly signed files. @Footygamer 

@Footygamer We're now creating Nikolay Pridava. This image comes from Transfermarkt and is available there as a WEBP file.

1. Save image as -> File name: Nikolay Pridava.png -> Save as: All files

2. Send the image in a pack via https://files.fm/

3. lost3 cuts the file and saves it. Then send it back via https://files.fm/ or upload it directly to the website.

@Footygamer The Mega map is a map containing all players who were cut by multiple people, and all players who didn't have a personal ID at the time. So, for this new update.
