Are you using the data update properly? All four of these players were transferred out of Hearts as the deals happened.

Do you need help in installing the update or checking profiles? All of those were actioned many weeks ago.

IS there a data update file with just the transfers of players existing in the FM 24 database, instead of the one with the players created in the custom Updated FM24 Database?

I'm afraid not. It is all integrated into a single file and there is no technical method to split it so we can't offer that separation.

The ‘drastic’ do-it-yourself approach that people have taken is to open the ‘Changes.fmf’ file and then search for and delete all of the Person records that have a UID of 2002042189 or higher.

I am more interested in knowing the reasons why you would want to do this, though, but I thought I would offer the advice all the same.

Please can i bring a date of birth issue to your attention.

Ronan Kpakio's age seems to be wrong in game. It's showing him as Sixteen in the latest update (with wrong day and month set), but he's Eighteen in real life. I believe this is a Database issue from the original database. Is there any chance someone could get this updated please?

We don't have control over the Sports Interactive data, unfortunately. Whilst it is technically possible for an update to correct this to be produced and integrated as part of the Data Update, we don't currently consider these sort of errors in-scope for the update. If we started to manage these sort of things, it could lead to an unmanageable workload.

With that in mind, I'd recommend submitting this to Sports Interactive. They have a dedicated forum for submitting data issues and the sub-section within it that this should go in is https://community.sports-interactive.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2024-early-access-bugs-tracker/database-and-research/england-efl-championship-league-1-and-league-2-data-issues/.

I would say that, at this time, that remains a realistic date - yes. I wouldn't consider it a guarantee, though - but given that the estimate comes from the person responsible for enabling it (and doing all of the hard work behind the scenes), I would say it is a trustworthy estimate.

I am sure there will be a clear notification on the site once the update does go live for FM26.

Hello, I m trying last update on FM2024, it doesn t load. Actually it seems it works, but 30 minutes of database configuration it seems too long to work

Are you using the the sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Player History.fmf file? Based on your screenshot I think it is probably like that you are. If so, you can expect this to take a long time to be processed/loaded - specifically this initial step of ‘Loading database’ that appears to take a long time to progress beyond a very small amount of the progress bar. The file itself adds 3,000,000+ database records and causes the initial loading to take a lot, lot longer. On the plus side, this is a one-off time investment - once the game is loaded, there is no degraded performance nor longer period of time to save/load a saved game.

The options for this file are either to (a) wait it out or (b) simply not use it. What you will lose by not using it is simply that player histories are not included that reflect the last two real-life years of performance. There is no massive gameplay implication - it is more about immersion and having players have the right statistics around games played/goals scored/clubs they have played for.

If you are not using this file, then it would be good to get a screenshot of your ‘editor data’ folder and/or the enabled files, so we can see if there is some other cause. One other common cause of the game not loading is overlapping ‘dynamic data’ (but this would only be a factor if you are using the enhanced data update).

thanks for your answer, ofc I m using history file…so it is normal that the loading time would be hours?

It shouldn't be hours, unless your PC/Laptop is very old or limited in terms of CPU/RAM availability. I use the history file, and load around 60 leagues all in, and it can take about 15 minutes to get from the First Screen in FM to ‘Start Game’ (or whichever is the name of the final button when creating a new game), while it processes things at each stage, and then another 15 minutes to load the actual new game.

That is a different topic altogether - in simple terms, there's no way to start the game ‘further forward’ in a way that allows everything else to be configured in the way you'd want.

The game engine starts the game from 2023. You can use certain ‘custom start date’ files to select a start date further in the future (and some of those do go, for example, up to Summer 2025 which would replicate starting in the ‘current’ season in European leagues). But there's a drawback - which is that the game will simulate things for the intervening period of two years - so, using the SortItOutSI Data Update, you'd find that transfers have been simulated, league seasons have taken place and been simulated, with corresponding promotions/relegations.

The SortItOutSI Data Update's approach to tackle this problem is to accept the in-game start date is 2023 and offset everything else by two years - so that 2023 in-game is a reflection of 2025 in real-life.

What I mean by that is that if you start in July 2023 in (for example) England, the ‘England’ you will find has teams in the divisions they should be in for 2025/26, along with transfers updated to ‘present day’. Ultimately, this is the way that most people like to play. Players' ages are offset by two years, too, so that the age a player is in-game in 2023 matches his real-life 2025 age. Likewise, the player's club contract is offset by two years, so a player with two years left on his contract in July 2025 in real-life will have two years left on his contract in-game in July 2023.

As I say, the general concept is to reflect the ‘footballing world’ in an up-to-date status, accepting an in-game start date of 2023 (because that's the bit that is hardcoded). If you cycle the start date forward, you have to make concessions about what else will be accurate.

when will we see the data update for FM26? It says coming soon…hoping to get it asap.

It's showing as downloadable for me now but when I download it, the only files there are contracts and player attributes, there isn't a “changes” file?
