Hello everyone,
Today I'm reaching out to those of you who already have experience creating logos for Football Manager, ideally even with the FM26 beta.
I'm currently working on a complete, authentic logo pack for all leagues in the upcoming FM26. I create the logos with Adobe Photoshop in .png format (either 180 × 180 px (full size to the edge) or 200 × 200 px with a little space to the edge) and have several years of experience in this field, originally from the EA Football Manager scene, where many of my earlier works still live on in various packs today. Accordingly, I am quite familiar with the current standards in terms of quality, transparency, and scaling.
Now to my concern:
When testing the logos I created in the FM26 beta, I noticed that many of them have unclean edges or slight “halos” in the game, even though they are displayed perfectly cleanly in Photoshop and in Windows Image Viewer (see screenshot). It doesn't matter whether the logo extends exactly to the edge of the .png or has some “air” around it, the blurred effect remains the same. The incorrect result in the FM26 game is marked in red in the screenshot.
My impression is that the FM26 beta may not render or scale the logos quite cleanly. A test in FM24 was flawless.
Has anyone else noticed this or have an explanation for it? Are there any new requirements or technical differences in handling logos in FM26 that I should be aware of when creating them? I realize that this is still a “beta version” and that no real support can be expected at this stage.
I would be very grateful for any advice or tips so that I can implement my project cleanly and ensure quality.
Thank you in advance for your support and expertise! 🙏
Best regards
