FM26 Match Engine Has Been Updated
FM26 Match Engine was just updated on February 11th which will have broken many tactics.
This is a generic message applied to all FM26 tactics check for tests with an ME Version 26.2 or greater.
disclaimer:
I have only tried this tactic out with barcelona and this for only one season. So if you were to use this tactic on some smaller teams, i can't guarantee the same kind of results considering the tactic is pretty attacking. The stats are from all competitions, but i do have to say that this tactic is a very heavy and attacking tactic which means it will probably cause some issues to your players. I had a lot of injuries throughout the season, because of the heavy toll this tactic asks of the players. I was even playing with my third goalkeeper in szczesny, in the champions league final because ter stegen and joan garcia both got injured, so I was stuck with a keeper that had no focus whatsoever. And even after the champions league final i got had a message saying I had to rest SIX PLAYERS!!! because of fatigue, so yeah I was milking these guys until they ran completely dry, but all in all I found it a very fun tactic.

I have a Steam version, can't find a way to upload a tactics, it doesn't give me opportunity to browse the files and folders. Does anyone knows the solution for this? Or how to bypass it?

Do you play on a mac or on a normal pc? With me, I play on a mac and all I do is I go to library→application support→sports interactive→football manager 26→tactics.
And I think that on a normal pc it's literally documents→sports interactive→tactics.
Now it is possible that the tactic folder has not yet been made, so you would have to make that specific folder.
And normally when you put your tactic in that folder and then upload the tactic on your fm save it should work.

That didn't worked for me. In the meantime I've changed the Launch Option to set my new destination for matches and documents in general but no luck so far. Any ideas?
Reinstall?
I would really like to upload some tactics and start from a lower league…

Then honestly the only thing I can think about is reinstalling. Now I did do some research and it is said that sometimes when your on a normal pc that the sports interactive folder might not be in your onedrive but rather in the cloud. Other than that I don't really see any solution other than reinstalling.

An improvement on this tactic in my second season with barcelona: 63 played → W54, D4, L5 - 194 goals scored, 32 goals conceded in all competitions.
Won the quintuple:
Champions league winner;
La liga winner;
Copa del rey winner;
Spanish supercup winner;
intercontinental cup winner.
All i did was change the right centre-back to a ball playing centre-back. No extra instructions either.

It seems to be working really well. I'm in my second season with Valencia and was struggling. Changed my tactic after 15 games and choose this one. since than I won 18 La Liga games with no losses or draw. The only loss was a cup game (4th round against 2nd division with a 1:5 :O)
I'm more than happy overall

I'll be trying out the tactic soon, but while the left-back is contributing a lot, the right-back is being very ineffective. Can we balance these out?

It is normal that the right back doesn’t contribute as much considering he plays as a centre back in possession and as a full back out of possession. His role is fully defensive. That’s why i put the right winger on stay wider and man-marking the left back so that when the right winger loses possession he at least marks the left back in which case he gives time for kounde to get Back into his right back position in defense.

This situation is understandable, but could there be a more balanced alternative solution? I would like to contribute to both sides.

Well you could play your right defensive midfielder as a half back so that he would act as a sort of centre back, but then you would lose all control of the midfield. You could also convert the right back into a normal full back and maybe then he would contribute a bit more but then you would be more susceptible to counter-attacks, which in this game happens a lot. I did try it out with a normal full back in pre-season, but i started conceding a lot and the team didn’t flow as well. And i fully discourage Turning the right-back into a wing back because then you lose all control.
