I actually quite like the Swansea away kit.

Me too.

Not sure about the black patches on the arms of the home kit, but it seems some dodgy template Adidas are using.

Yes it is a bit of a "are they serious?!?" advertising slogan. Still better than We Come Here Not To Win though.

The actual sponsor makes the away shirt look even worse.

Meanwhile, this earlier leak has been confirmed as Southampton's new home shirt. Not that it's any good:

I like Southampton's kit, but not as a Southampton kit.

Should be stripes not block colours.

Mate of mine (southampton fan) posted on twitter earlier with a link to a Adidas top that was clearly the Southampton kit without the logos/sponsors, and it was like £15

Southampton's kits are good, but they just don't feel like a Southampton kit as there's no stripes. Apparently their chairman is not a fan of the stripes, hence the absence.

If you flip the colours on the Southampton change kit and change the relevant badges, you'll get what I think the Fulham home kit will be judging by this promo photo:

It'll basically be that but with adidas inside the black V and of course the relevant badge changing.

That's how Adidas have always been though, put out a single template that everyone uses. People are only noticing it more now because they have an actual design this year.

I think its also as much as that they now are the kit makers for almost half the Premier League and several lower league teams. As a result such template overuse is more common knowledge because more teams wear their gear, so it's more widely noticed. But then I think every kit maker does it - Puma are pretty bad at it, although everyone else is in on it.

I remember in the mid-2000s we were the only team wearing adidas kits in the UK so it wasn't really as debated, although the template was used for other sides abroad.

Meanwhile, Blackburn kit (apparently the blue and white were this way round before they were flipped to the more-known form in the 50s)

Fair enough if Adidas are going to do that but the fact clubs then charge £40/£50 for the jerseys when you can buy the plain version of the jersey for £20 is a joke, granted thats probably down to the clubs but still.

Probably haven't been able to find one that pays well enough yet.

I'm pretty sure the extra cost of a full price football shirt is as much the financial charges of the club and/or whoever sells the shirt. It is pretty fucking cheeky of them to do so but I daresay that is the economics of it all.

Adidas are lazy but at least they change their designs more frequently then, say, Puma, who have been using something like this design for teams the world over for the past 3 seasons (this is Sheffield Wednesday's away strip, replete with gold badge)

Arsenal released an away kit preview yesterday. So glad we're back to yellow and blue as our away kit colours. Love this one
