Player now missing. Hi after the live update yesterday the player Clemens Boldt from FSV Zwickau is somehow missing in my new save even though he was in earlier updates. What could be the reason for it? Thanks

I can’t see any reason why he would no longer be in the Data Update.

The setup of your save game is a factor here, too. Are you loading enough data from that country to make him show up? What size database are you using?

@M.C and @Footygamer , I think there is a potential issue here in that it appears a number of ‘active’ and newly created players from around the last week in September up to a date I can't determine are now not in fact pulling through to the update. As well as the player flagged above, I tested a couple from Scotland who both appear to be active but didn't load with all Scottish based players set to load. I will take another look, and tried to edit one there in case it helps. Examples from Scotland were both created around or after the date of the player flagged above.

Alfie Archibald at Gretna and Cole Coughlin at Kilmarnock are two examples (albeit I am using Coughlin to test if editing is picked up in the next live update). 

I am constantly loading Scottish lower level files with the update and until today, everything has been totally fine. 

Edit - Of the players I have added, I can find one active and live in game from the 14th September. Anyone else I have added since was appearing fine, up until today (could have been earlier, as I only re-downloaded today), whereby anyone created after 14th September and up to 8th October is not showing in the latest live update. 

Yes he vanished after 3 new players were added to that club. I haven't changed anything else, just used a newer live update.

It seems that whatever is going on, if you edit the current live instance and the date stamp changes to today, it is picked up by the next live update. 

Sorry but is there anyone here using “No Date Changes Update" version? its not get updated even tho its say released on 12 September but the files that given will always on 8 September.

Just to acknowledge - I can replicate this as well - it does seem that the last update to the file itself is 8th October 2025. I've reported it internally and it'll get taken care of as soon as possible.

Has this been fixed and are players added between these dates displayed correctly again?

I can happily report that the player I mentioned in the earlier post is now back in the team with a different ID number than before using a live update from this morning. Thank you for fixing the issue.

Have you considered, and is it even possible, to allow players on the roster to change positions? Players often adapt to new positions, learn them, and then change them. And in lower leagues or lesser-known leagues, sometimes positions are completely out of place.

Maybe I don't understand something. I added several players via data update to 1 club, even created 3 youth players  - and when I use update file - they are there. But there are several players, that were added not by me, earlier, and they are at this club, when you check in the data on site, but there are in their previous clubs, when you start the new game (with updated file).

I use Basic Free FM24 Update 13 October 2025 version.

All those transfers were made several months ago

ID 95078951: Peter Olawale has been transferred to Al-Mesaimeer Sports Club (on site's data), but still at Nof HaGalil

ID 42069092: Idan Golan has been transferred to Hapoel Nof HaGalil, but in the game still at Hapoel Umm El Fahm

ID 2000066323 Ido Krebs has been transferred to Hapoel Hadera, but in the game still at Hapoel Nof Hagalil

ID 200127210 Hamidou Dialla has been transferred to Nof Hagalil, but in the game he is still Free Player

Are there any plans to approve new players, skills, and changes? I've been seeing changes not being approved for a few days now.

Yes, but the process depends upon volunteer staff availability against work and family commitments, and sometimes the way it works, staff able to look at the data update as their main contribution are all committed to other work, family or personal matters simultaneously. It isn't a conscious decision not to approve, just circumstantial.  For my part, I can start to take a look at submissions later in the week and should get a good run at it then, and I am sure the other staff that do the same (if not more than me) in terms of the data update will be back on it too as soon as they can be.

I'm not sure about the reason at this stage - but I can confirm that I can replicate the issue.

I have spot-checked a few players for whom changes have been submitted/approved and I can see that those changes are not reflected into the FMF file.

I suspect there may be some issue with recent processing of changes to newly-created players. I don't think it relates to you, individually - I think it is equally impacting any changes approved recently (how recently, I am not sure).

I am flagging it to the Site Admin to investigate. In terms of the front-end that we can moderate, all looks normal. But the changes are not reflected in the FMF file - hence there must be some processing issue of some kind. We'll get it sorted, no doubt, and just to confirm: no need to re-submit any such changes.

This should be fixed and ready for download in about 20 minutes

Is there any likelyhood that you would consider re-opening this FM24 update with the new players & ability edits considering how bad FM26 is please? Ive played FM26 for 12 hours and its near on impossible to carry on with it due to the vast amount of bugs and the diabolical UI!

Is there any way of downloading older versions of this update file? I have newly created players showing in the editor but not showing on the game i.e. Karetsas, Jorthy Mokio etc.

Wondering if this is an issue with the newest update or a bug someone else has reported and you are working on?

The latest version of the FM24 Data Update should have no issues with newly-created players appearing. Certainly, there is no fundamental issue in the latest version - I suspect there is some other reason for players not appearing in your save.

I have just started a new game with the latest version of the Data Update and specifically looked for Karetsas & Mokio and both appear as expected.

Happy to troubleshoot with you - as a starting point, can you confirm:

1. What ‘Editor Data’ files you are using in the save in which they are not appearing? Are you only using the SortItOutSI Data Update, or are you using other files as well? Are you sure you are enabling the relevant files? Do you see evidence of transfers being updated?

2. What game setup you have made (i.e. what size database, which leagues activated, etc). This has a bearing on which players will actively be loaded.

If you run a database that is too small and/or do not have the leagues in which these players are based activated, they may not end up being loaded into the game.

Either I've done something wrong here but Jim Radcliffe seems to be a coach not owner. Also Ruben is a part time coach

Did you fix this, I've just been having it with Jim Radcliffe as a coach at Man Utd and despite becoming manager there, Amorim is also a part time coach

Hi, I've noticed the latest version of the FM24 Data Update has put some head coaches as a regular coach. There seems to be an issue in the contracts.fmf where the head coaches contracts seems to have been wiped

can we fix the issue where most managers are now coaches leaving all clubs with no manager.

Hi, I have downloaded the latest enhanced database for FM24 and my player count has shot up to over 163,000 even with no leagues selected - ive emptied the editor data folder and reapplied the latest database update but the same thing keeps happening - not sure if i'm doing something wrong as not had this issue until now or whether people are seeing the same thing - thanks
