Where is this database?

Not sure if its me doing something wrong but never had an issue downloading a file from here before, when i click to download either of the links it directs me to a page advertising the premium membership…but no download links. Already have a membership…, so not sure if there is a break in the links?

But no free mirrors…

Is it not a free download already then?? My original wonderkid database used to be

No, only premium download is available atm

Just to confirm: in terms of how things should work - files uploaded by members of the community, as attachments to their posts, should not be restricted from being downloaded by other community members in any way. There should be free mirrors available for any such download. Please consider this a bug at this time.

In the meantime, I would advise anyone affected not to buy Premium Membership simply to download these kinds of files. The Premium Membership is intended to grant access to faster downloads of the larger, wider-community-managed graphical downloads that are ‘officially’ hosted by this website (e.g. the megapacks available via https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics).

I have flagged to the Site Admin that we believe this is happening. I have been able to replicate using a test account without Premium Membership - my suspicion is that this is a bug affecting community-uploaded downloads of a certain filesize only (but that is a best-guess at this stage).

The issue with there being no free mirror is fixed now.

@bhamichaelg did you get permission from FM Inside to modify and redistribute their file?

No I didnt actually. I will find a way of contacting them now but if i cant get through to them i have been making my own database whilst using their big one as a tool and ill just upload that one instead

@bhamichaelg is there any reason to just not contribute to our collaborative data update? It's surely going to cover alot more with thousands of people working on it than just 1.

When I download the file it only opens as a firefox site that prompts me to download or pen the file in firefox again?

Not sure if this is possible at all, but would be cool if the players had the same stats they do in FM26? 

Thanks - my FM24 crashes when i try and load this - probably user error - any ideas?

I've used and played with the collaborative data update and its great. But there were a few things that stood out to me that broke immersion. (I am OCD so little problems that aren't that big of a deal affect me a bit more than the average person). Many players with incorrect birthdates including players with born in “2023”. Minimal player info, no full names. Accidental spaces in-between first names and surnames. Incorrect nationalities. Missing second nationalities. Not many obscure nations. Wrong skin tones and hair colours, Duplicate player profiles, etc. Its an amazing update and its great that so many people can contribute but sometimes it can be a case of too many cooks, spoil the broth. 

Also at the time i started my original wonderkid database, the big data update had no faces for players and personally I hate using players with no picture

Not possible unfortunately. Many of the new players I've added aren't even in FM26 due to their young ages but the main reason being I refunded FM26. I was one of those people that just hated it so much. I cant justify to myself paying £45 for a unfinished game that's no fun, only for the purpose of being a tool for editing FM24. Sorry dude 😢

You have to make sure no other databases are loaded in alongside mine. Also it is a very big file. Nearly 900,000 database changes so it could be case of your laptop struggling to run it. Maybe lower the database player pool or not as high graphic settings. That's all i can think off I'm afraid

I don't know if that's something to do with Sortitoutsi's website. Next update ill try and sort out free mirrors with the links as soon as I figure out how the hell i do any that haha

The issue here is that you’re trying to ‘open’ the file at all.

This is a file intended to be downloaded and then placed into the relevant folder to be read/interpreted by the game. Rather than try to open/run the file, you need to open the folder it downloads into and copy it into the right place. Then start the game accordingly.

Its not really an issue with the browser, nor the download process - but just a user error; and I don’t mean that in a nasty way.

Since it's a collaborative update these are all things that can be fixed by simply filling in a form with the correct birth dates, names, second nationalities etc

I assume you're mostly talking about newly created wonderkids rather than transfers etc.

I'm working on a new version of our online editor that should hopefully make it even easier and faster to edit and it would be great to have someone like you involved who cares about the small details.

For what it’s worth - you’re not alone in wanting the accuracy! There’s a few of us staff members who are keen to make the newly-created players as accurate as possible. Suffice to say it’s lots of work, but it’s an ever-improving dataset.
