Hey everyone 👋

I’ve recently posted this idea on the official SI Games forum, but I think many people here on SortitoutSI would also find it really useful:

Feature Suggestion: Add a “New Nation” option in the Football Manager Editor.

Right now, we can add new clubs, leagues, cities, and people — but not a completely new nation.

This limits creativity for world-builders and custom database creators who want to design fictional countries and confederations.

A simple “Add Nation” button would allow:

Creating fully fictional nations with unique flags, regions, languages, and currencies

Adding new national teams and regional confederations

Building realistic or fantasy worlds without overwriting real nations

This would be a small change, but it could have a huge impact for the FM modding community.

Here’s the official SI Forum feature request if you’d like to support it:

What do you think — would you use this feature for your own FM projects?

Really curious if anyone has ever tried to simulate this idea manually —
like creating a “new nation” by replacing a hidden or inactive country ID?

I’ve seen amazing world-building projects here on SortitoutSI (fantasy continents, merged leagues, etc.),
but an official “Add Nation” button would make those projects 10× easier.

Would love to hear if any of you have found creative workarounds in the editor! ⚙️
