Hello Everyone and welcome back for another edition of the JFA Japan Pyramid!!.
IMPORTANT: In order for this file to work you also need to download and install the Real Name Fix
You can also add more than 600 Japanese players through our Data Update
This one is quite a lot bigger than the FM24 one so without further ado let me Introduce the pyramid, with each and every competition created twice for the 2025 season AND the 2026 season for the European Calendar shift.
- Meiji Yasuda J1 League (Real Fixtures, Dates and Results)

- Japan Football League (Top Amateur/Semi Pro National Division) (Real Fixtures, Dates and Results)
- National Regional Leagues (9 Regional Leagues, Champions League Finals and 1-2 Promotion Slots out of 80 Clubs) (Real Fixtures, Dates and Results)
- National Regional Leagues Division Two (6 Regional Second Divisions) (Real Fixtures, Dates and Results)
- National Prefecture Leagues (47 Local Regional Divisions)
- National Prefecture Leagues Division Two (43 Local Regional Divisions)
- National Prefecture Leagues Division Three (24 Local Regional Divisions)
- National Prefecture Leagues Division Four (3 Local Regional Divisions)
For our U-18 competitions we have
- JFA U-18 Takamado Premier League EAST/WEST
- JFA U-18 Takamado Prince Leagues (9 Regional Leagues)
- JFA U-18 Takamado Prince Leagues Division Two (9 Regional Leagues, some added second divisions)
- JFA U-18 Takamado Prefecture Leagues Division Two and Two (Inactive divisions that are promotable, but play in other competitions too)
For our University Competitions we have
- Regional University Leagues Division One (9 Regional Leagues with the Finals)
- Regional University Leagues Division Two (9 Regional Leagues)
and Finally making a comeback is the JFA U-15 (U-16) Regional League (9 Regional Leagues with the Finals)
For our Cup competitions we have
- JFA Emperor's Cup and ALL (47 Regional Cup competitions which could as Qualifiers)
- Shakijin Cup (Level 2) (all 9 Regional Cup competitions which could as Qualifiers)
- National Club Teams Championship (Level 3)
- J1 League Special Tournament
- J2/3 Special Tournament
- J.League YBC Levain Cup
- Fujifilm Super Cup
- Kanto Soccer League Ichihara Athleta Cup
- Kansai Soccer League AST-ENG Cup
- Prime Minister Cup
- Denso Cup
- National High School Soccer championships
- National Inter-High Tournament
- Japan Club Youth U-18 Championship (With Preliminary and Regional Rounds)
Over 2700 clubs, Hundreds or competitions and less than 1% margin of error makes this version more robust and reliable when compared to FM24.
Known Issues
- Very small chance in the 2026 season one competition may not finish in time for season update day, FIX: make sure you have a save in every may and if it happens the fixture will 99/100 finish in time, annoying but very minor.
- Crash on Jan 31st, not a database issue with this file and reloading save should fix it.
All graphical files like 2D and 3D kits for all div 4-6 teams are on the Football Manager Japan discord as well as a place to provide any bug reports or anything else related to Japan.

is there a difference between this file and the Level 10 one that comes with the free database update other than this one being more recent? I tried using this with the contracts fmf file instead of the level 10 one and the team names were not populating when visiting the team selection screen?

No the two files are identical, i'm not sure what you mean about it being more recent?
For team names did you install the real name fix?

Why do these new players all come from England and not Japan?

@timho1028 if that's right that would be a bug. Let me check. As always it's really helpful if you give specific players and teams to help me look things up faster. The more detailed you make error reports, the easier it is for someone who is trying to help you.

This doesnt give you the drop down menu for the leagues on league selection instead of j leagues it seems to be other nations leagues so it doesnt let you run just certain japanese leagues

@timho1028 This should be fixed shortly after I posted that I was investigating. Are you saying it's still happening?
e.g. Taishi Okamura is definitely labelled as Japanese now

Yes, it's still happening in all J. League teams.

@timho1028 I can see your recent downloads on this page and it says you haven't downloaded our Data Update since November 30th.
How can you tell me that it's still happening if you haven't redownloaded the file?

i downloaded the newest data update version, but when i make a new save with vegalta sendai, second division in japan, my youth players are still english. Maybe i am just too dumb to get it right?

I have the same problem. All the youth players at Sendai, Chiba, Akita, etc. are British nationals.
There may be no problem with real youth players, but the problem may be with the automatically generated youth players.

I don't know which one had the most effect, but I solved the problem by doing the following three things:
1)Apply the game update released today (Ver26.1.0)
2)Apply the latest data updates(sortitoutsi.net FM26 Data Update - Latest Release: 09 Dec 2025 04:30:05)
3)Apply [FM26 Sortitoutsi Real Name Fix File v2.0]
※Regarding 1),I was using the public beta version of the game, but I've reverted to the regular version.
※Regarding 2), we had been using the J.League data created on November 20th, but we overwrote it just to be safe.
※Regarding 3), I had been using the license fix file version 2.0, but just to be safe, I downloaded it again and reinstalled it.

Facing a problem where my save game doesn't generate schedules beyond the end of 2026/2027 season. Im in 2028 and there hasn't been any games for the past year

Must admit I am not sure as haven’t played! I am aware in Japan there is a ’one-off’ filler tournament being played from February 2026 to help align the league start dates to the European dates so 2026/2027 will start in August

Yes that is in the default game already.
Right now i'm investigating whether we can somehow skip forward to August 2026 since the real life season has ended and we can do the promotions and relegations.
Otherwise everyone is forced to start in January 2025 for a game they bought in November 2025…

i had the j2/j3 league to get aug-may schedules like europe but now my games been bugged from aug 1 2027 onwards, j1 wont start till feb now, sad
