Been a huge FM player in the past, FM18, FM20, etc.

I haven't played in a few years - and generally on an old Macbook hence always 2D match engine.

I have FM24 (not actually played it, via Epic Games) and can get FM26 - but which one should I play?

My criteria is to have a realistic as possible game (latest transfers, starts in Aug 2025), latest logos and name fixes - and hopefully take Man United to glory again…

I have an updated Macbook Pro M3 now (so want to try the 3D match engine now).

Shall I bother with FM26 or is it terrible?

FM24 all day long

26 just doesn’t feel realistic, admittedly the match engine is slightly improved, but the lack of immersion and realism, together with the significant bugs, just kills the game

For now FM24. That's the quick answer

I’ve got both as well, and I’m playing FM24, it’s much better and far more realistic. FM26 gets boring quickly, it’s full of bugs, and the only real improvement is the match graphics… but this isn’t a FIFA game. Here, what truly matters are the charts, analyses, heat maps and all the things FM24 actually does right
